For those who love to explore without a time restraint, these attractions are for you. This list is also great for Disney World veterans who are looking for something new to slow down and explore. Magic Kingdom
1. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
Head to the Fire House on Main st to register and receive your special map. From there, proceed to your first spell casting portal and use your spell card to defeat Disney Villains. Plus, the spell cards are yours to keep.
This walk-through attraction rarely has a wait. Take time to gaze at the Robinson family home. This tour takes guests by their Living Room, Kitchen and Dining Room, Crow’s Nest, Study/Library and to the Jungle Lookout. Read the plaques as you walk by to learn more.
Epcot
3. Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure
Sign up for this free game at the Agent P kiosk at the International Gateway or on the Odyssey Bridge between Future World and World Showcase. Complete your secret missions before time runs out!
4. Bijutsu-kan Gallery
Dive into the Kawaii in the Japan Pavilion of Epcot and learn about Japan’s “cute culture”. On display is the origin and evolution of Kawaii, most notable being the character Hello Kitty. View all the cuteness on display, including a decorated modern Tokyo apartment.
5. Mexico Folk Art Gallery
Currently on display at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot is Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). Take time to discover the long standing traditions and view colorful art.
6. Stave Church Gallery
A fascinating and mythic exhibit is found in the Norway Pavilion of the World Showcase. Learn history of the real Vikings and artifacts from ancient Norway.
Hollywood Studios
7. Walt Disney Presents
For anyone interested in the man who created the mouse himself, must visit Walt Disney Presents. This self-guided tour takes guests through Disney World’s past, present and future. See models built by Walt Disney himself, vintage sketches, plus sneak peaks of upcoming attractions and more.
Animal Kingdom
8. Discovery Island Trails
Take time to discover the pathways around the Tree of Life. These trails are a self-guided tour with up close looks at nature and the over 300 animal carvings on the Tree of Life. Guests will encounter animals as well: White Stork, Red Kangaroo, African Crested Porcupine and more.
9. Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
Find this self guided trail by Kilimanjaro Safaris in Africa. get up close encounters of animals native to Africa including: Meerkats, Nile Hippopotamus and the Western Lowland Gorilla. Allow yourself at least 20 minutes to observe the animals and explore the trail. There are 2 viewing areas for the Gorillas and more often than not the first is crowded and the second is not.
10. Wilderness Explorers
Stop by the Wilderness Explorer welcome center located on the bridge near the Tree of Life and receive a Wilderness Explorers field guide with 30 different badges that can be earned at specific spots throughout the park. Complete all 30 badges at your pace while you explore and when finished, receive a special prize!
