Disney Springs is an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment area. It is free to enter, making Disney Springs perfect for an evening or non-park day at Disney. Here are 10 Entertaining Things To Do At Disney Springs.
1. Visit Days Of Christmas
No matter the time of year, for those who celebrate, picking up a Christmas Ornament is a great souvenir. I love collecting an ornament from each Disney vacation and look for ones with the current year on it. Visit Days of Christmas for a large selection, in the Marketplace area.
2. Take A Holiday Card Photo
Outside of the Days of Christmas shop in the Marketplace area is a fun holiday/winter scene. Stop here for a holiday card worthy photo.
3. Catch A Movie
If you find yourself with a rainy day at Disney World, consider a movie at AMC 24 in Disney Springs at the West Side. Dining with Fork & Screen is available while guests watch a movie, with seat-side service.
4. Visit PhotoPass Studio
Find the PhotoPass Studio in the Marketplace area. Stop by with family and friends for group pictures. Best of all, if you purchases Memory Maker – they are included! The studio offers various Disney themed backgrounds to add in after.
5. Spin the Water Wheel
Find this industrial looking water wheel near the Disney Springs Welcome Center. Spin the wheel to collect water from the pond below, look under the bridge on the opposite side to see the mechanics of the water wheel moving (while someone else is spinning it).
6. Buy A Mickey Shirt At Uniqlo
Find trendy and affordable clothing for Men, Woman and children at Uniqlo. In addition to carrying character apparel, this store is great for clothing essentials such as socks, sweatshirts and more. Of course there are plenty of choices to buy character shirts from at Disney, the difference at Uniqlo is the prices. Find T-shirts for as low as $9.90 each.
7. Marketplace Train Express
For $3 (per rider) children over 48″ can take a ride on the Marketplace Train Express. Those under 48″ must be accompanied by an adult (adult rides free). Children love trains and this one is just their size.
8. Marketplace Carousel
Another entertaining activity for littles (42″+) at Disney Springs is the Marketplace Carousel. This Venetian carousel features 16 handcrafted horses and 2 stationary seats. As with the Marketplace Train, those under the height requirement must ride with an adult (adult not required to pay).
9. Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar
Visit the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar and sample sodas from around the world (for a cost). Plus, enjoy views from above of Disney Springs Town Center. There are different experiences to choose from including: Freestyle Experience, Create-Your-Own Beverage Experience and Tastes around the World. The Coca Cola Polar Bear is available for photos on the 2nd floor of the store.
10. Watch the Amphicar Launch
Adjacent to The Boathouse is the launch of the Amphicar Tours. These tours take 3-4 guests in vintage style cars that drive on land and water, on a water tour of Disney Springs. Cost is $125 per car. Or watch them launch for free. Disney Springs is the only place in the world to see this unique entertainment option, as its only location is in Disney Springs.
