There are 2 special Holiday parties offered at Walt Disney World. For Halloween enjoy Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (typically late Aug – early Nov.), starting around $74 per person. For Christmas enjoy Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (typically early Nov. – late Dec.), starting around $89 per person. 2. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique now has 2 locations: Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom. At either location, Fairy Godmothers in Training give makeovers to children ages 3-12 into princesses and knights. If you take advantage of the photo shoot afterwards, the pictures are included with your Memory Maker purchase.
3. Starlight Safari
The Starlight Safari is offered at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Guests will have a unique opportunity to explore Disney’s African savannas in a safari vehicle with night vision goggles. This tour is offered 7 nights a week and guests must be at least 8 years of age to attend (with an accompanying adult). Plus guests will have the chance to chat with Cast Members who know the savannas. This one hour tour costs $74.17 per person.
4. Keys To The Kingdom Tour
Splurge on the Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom. This 5 hour tour (walking) will take guests on an in-depth look at Magic Kingdom park. Learn: secrets of classic rides, even go in the underground tunnels, “Utilidor”, and more! A lunch and an exclusive keepsake are included with your ticket. Guests must be at least 16 years old to attend, cost is $99 per person.
5. Aerophile – The World Leader in Balloon Flight
Aerophile – The World Leader in Balloon Flight (formally Characters in flight) is a balloon ride found at Disney Springs. For those guests looking to splurge on a thrilling experience, guests will float about 400 feet above Disney Springs, for the ultimate view. Cost is around $20 adult and $15 children. Be sure to check Groupon before your trip, as this has been spotted in prior promotions.
6. Senses – A Disney Spa
Try a Spa Day, for a splurge on yourself. Such as the Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Services include Facials (starting around $145 for 50 min), Massages (starting at $135) and more. For a less expensive splurge consider getting your nails done here, for children they even offer the Prince or Princess Pedicure.
7. Dessert Party
For a VIP view of fireworks, consider a Dessert Party. Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties include: Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing, Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, or Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise. Epcot offers the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party. While Hollywood Studios has the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday Dessert Party. 8. Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides are offered at either Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort or Disney’s Port Orleans (Riverside). Each allows guest a 25-minute Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride for $55 per carriage (carrying up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children). Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers a Holiday Sleigh Ride during December for $84 per ride.
9. Character Dining
Disney World offers many delicious food options form Quick Service to lounge to sit down restaurants. Of these, a Character Dining experience is a fun splurge, where characters come to your table while you dine. Favorite Character dining at Disney World includes: Tusker House, Chef Mickey’s, The Garden Grill, Cape May Café, and Ohana.
10. Moderate Resort
Consider choosing a Moderate resort over a value resort for a splurge you can enjoy all vacation long. Differences between a Value & Moderate include: A Moderate resort includes a water slide at the pools and a sit down restaurant on property while a Value does not. Also, a Moderate resort room is 30% bigger than a Value resort room, and moderate guests will sleep on a queen sized bed instead of a full found a Value resorts.
