If you want to try more than Mickey Premium Bars and Dole Whips on your next Disney vacation, this list is for you. Here are 10 out of the ordinary Disney World Foods to try, including a nice mix of sweet and non-sweet food options.
Chocolate Croissant – Pain au Chocolat is French for, Chocolate Croissant. Stop by Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie at the France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. This quick service offers many delicious sweet treats, and the Chocolate Croissant comes highly recommended.
Poutine – Visit Disney Springs Town Center to eat at The Daily Poutine kiosk. They sell a variety of tasty Poutines such as the Classic, French, Italian and more.
Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns – For a new twist on the classic Cheeseburger consider the Steamed Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen. Inside is Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar Cheese. Served with a side of Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Vegetable Chips.
Key Lime Tart – Sunshine Seasons is a quick service location with something for everyone, found in Epcot. After you dine, be sure to try the Key Lime Tart dessert.
Fried Green Tomato Sandwich – This entrée has a fun name and consists of Fried Green Tomatoes, topped with Jalapeño Ranch Dressing, Pepper Jack, Tomatoes and topped with Arugula on Ciabatta Bread. Find in Hollywood Studios at Rosie’s All American Café.
Cheshire Cat Tail – This treat perfectly fits in with Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Find the Cheshire Cat Tail at Cheshire Café drizzled with purple frosting.
Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries – Stop by Mr. Kamal’s in Animal Kingdom’s Asia area. This non-sweet snack is topped with tzatzki salad and sriacha ketchup.
Dipped Pretzel with Gourmet Bitz – Visit the Wetzel’s Pretzels Kiosk in Epcot for not your average pretzel. Here guests can order an original Pretzel and have it dipped (for a bit extra). Choose from the following dips: Cheddar Cheese, Jalapeño Cheese, Sweet Caramel, Pizza Sauce, Sweet Glaze or Cream Cheese. Then order your choice of Gourmet Bitz: Sinful Cinnamon, Almond Crunch or Sour Cream and Onion (also an additional charge). The end result is a custom flavored Pretzel.
Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots – You may never look at Tater tots the same, after tasting these unique Tots. Find at The Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom.
Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart – Remember Pop Tarts as a kid? Woody’s Lunch Box has brought them back, enhanced, for kids and big kids to enjoy. This dessert consists of Chocolate-Hazelnut stuffed Pastry coated in Maple Fondant and Candied Bacon. Look for a seasonal box tart as well (limited).
