Traveling with children of different ages can prove challenging. Not with the list below, consider these 10 playgrounds and attractions to keep little ones entertained on your trip as well.
Animal Kingdom
1. The Boneyard
Dinoland in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a giant open space playground where children can dig and explore. The Boneyard is found in DinoLand USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For children 10 and under. Featuring: a multi-level maze, slides, a dig site and more.
Epcot
2. Splashpads at Epcot
Let your little one run around on a splash pad at Epcot. Bring a change of clothes or bathing suit. Find them outside Mission: SPACE or Innoventions. This is a great way for little ones to cool down and take a break.
3. Misson: SPACE play area
There is a small play gym for children following the Mission: SPACE attraction at Epcot. To find this area without riding, you will go in the exit of the ride through the gift shop.
4. Caribbean Coral Reef Aquarium
Located at SeaBase in future world at Epcot is the Caribbean Coral Reef Aquarium. Young children will love to watch the angelfish, dolphins, rays, sharks, turtles and more in this 5.7-million-gallon aquarium.
5. Kidcot Fun Stops
If you are traveling the World Showcase with young children, Kidcot Stations are great. Kidcot stations are available in each country. They out a free souvenir card at each country and then have them stamped in each country, making for a great inexpensive souvenir and fun along the way.
Magic Kingdom
6. Dumbo
The original Dumbo ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom relocated to New Fantasyland and there are now 2. Now, waiting in line is part of the fun with the interactive queue This allows children to explore in an indoor play area while waiting to ride. Don’t worry about a Fastpass+ on this one. Since, the children are entertained with “the line” being a playground!
7. Casey Jr. Splash N Soak Station
Also, in Fantasyland is the Casey Jr. Splash N Soak Station, located in Storybook Circus near the train station. This fun area offers water play with circus trains inspired from the movie, Dumbo. Bring a bathing suit or change of clothes.
8. Playground at Exit of Splash Mountain
At the exit of splash mountain is an adorable playground. This is the perfect spot to wait with a young child while others in your group ride either splash mountain or big thunder mountain.
9. Swiss Family Treehouse
Is for all ages and any height, this attraction is great for releasing energy and fun to walk through the Robinson’s famous treehouse. This attraction includes a total of 116 stairs. Find the Swiss Family Treehouse in Adventureland.
Hollywood Studios
10. Disney Junior Dance Party!
At Disney Junior Dance Party!, sing and dance with Vampirina and more at the Disney Junior Dance Party! The new show features special effects, songs to get you dancing and Characters. Everyone is invited to the party by host Finn Fiesta and DJ Deejay!
Characters include Disney Junior favorites: Timon from The Lion Guard, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins and Mickey Mouse from Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
