Are you considering a quick, solo trip to Disney World? Here are tips for a short & solo trip to Walt Disney World.
1. Arrival & Departure
Make the most of your time by looking for flights that arrive early on your arrival day and a late departure on the day you leave. Or, for those driving, head down early and leave late to get the most time out of your stay. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, they will hold your luggage for you while you hit the parks, if room is not ready.
2. Eating
Do not worry about eating alone. If you do not feel comfortable doing sit-down restaurants by yourself, skip them. There are plenty of snacks that eat like a meal, and various quick-service restaurants in each park to choose from. Savings tip, if you are a light eater, consider ordering a kids meal from a quick-service. Eat what you want, when you want!
3. Skip Pool Time
Skip swimming by yourself and use this time to shop at Disney Springs, explore a Disney Resort and more. Think of something you may not ordinary drag your family or friends to do and enjoy your time.
4. Pack Light
Traveling solo means you are carrying everything you bring. Travel light, perhaps with just a carry-on luggage for those flying. Also, keep your park bag light as well, since again, there is no one to share carrying bags with.
5. Get Park Hopper
To add Park Hopper or not to add Park Hopper comes up often as a question. However, on a short trip, it can be worth it. Park Hopper allows guests entry into more than 1 Disney World park per day. For instance, for guests only going for 2 full days, park hopper would also them to visit all 4 parks within the 2 days instead of having to choose 2.
6. Get Fastpass+ When Eligible
Fastpass+ are still worth it to book on a solo or short trip. Be ready on your eligible day to book: 60 days out for guests staying on-site and 30 days out for guests not staying at a Disney Resort. Get your 3 per park per day for mid-morning. Then, once those are used up use the My Disney Experience app to get one at a time, unlimited. Learn the best Fastpass+ options.
7. Single Rider Lines
Being a party of one means taking advantage of Single Rider Lines.

Staying offsite may save a few dollars, however there are advantages to staying at a Disney Resort. A big one is transportation is included, for those planning to spend all their time in Disney, a car is not necessary. Guests staying on-site are eligible for the Magical Express (to and from the airport) and transportation to all 4 parks, Disney Springs and more.
9. 4 Parks 1 Day Challenge
Four parks in 1 day challenge is just that, visiting all 4 Disney World Parks in one day. Do you dare? Completing this is easier solo than with a group. Park Hopper is necessary for this. Learn Tips & Touring plan for this challenge.
