If you had just one tip to share with your best friend about Disney World, what would it be? Below is a list of tips for guests visiting Walt Disney World for the first time. Take the stress out of your vacation and learn what others wish they had been told.
1. You wont get it all done (and that is OK). In fact, trying to do it all can become overwhelming and you may miss out on small magical moments. Have fun exploring a bit.
2. Have a plan. Having a list of must do’s for each park is a good idea. Just be open to change if things do not go exactly as planned or if you cant get a certain reservation. Consider this, Magic Kingdom Touring Plan. Even with a plan, be present and enjoy your vacation.
3. When it starts raining, stay. Many times guests leave, then the rain passes leaving lower crowds. Packing a disposable poncho is a money saving tip as well.
4. Book your FastPass reservations when you can. It is 60 days out for Disney World resort guests and 30 days out for non-resort guests. Using the fastpass system can save you time from waiting in long lines.
5. Take time to relax. If not a whole pool day than consider a mid-day break. There is so much to do and see, meaning lots of walking and often in heat, it is important to take rests.
6. Download the My Disney Experience App. It is a free app available on smart phones. It is useful for accessing fastpass, wait times, dining reservations and more.
7. Wear shoes you have already broken in, not new. It can seem like a good idea buying new shoes for vacation, however it is not recommended to wear shoes you haven’t yet broken in.
8. Pack a first aid kit. Stock it with bandages, Tylenol etc. Then bookmark The Ultimate Packing List.
9. Keep hydrated. Especially with Florida heat and the walking. But even if cooler outside, staying hydrated during your vacation is a good thing. Guests can even ask for Free water at the parks.
10. Dining reservations can be booked at 180 days out. If there are any restaurants you must try, reservations are recommended. Disney World has some incredible dining experiences such as: Be Our Guest and more.
11.Consider the Saving For Disney Course to get started. Check out Couponing To Disney website for information on Disney Parks, Restaurants, Saving for Disney and so much more.
