I live about 2 hours from a major city, and have several Walmarts within a 50 mile radius. I was always surprised at the difference in prices at each and now I know why. Thanks so much for all the valuable information. Hugs from snowy PA.

what is the zipcode to put in when directed to coupon website when using your under $1. walmart deals. For example, i clicked on the powerade coupon printable and got redirected to another site but, could not find the coupon listed there. The same thing happened when I was searching for the NYC color nail polish. Let me know how to use the printables please.
Thanks and God Bless,
Lisa

A gallon of Wal-Mart brand milk here in small town KY will cost you 3.60-.80 right now. A 10 lb bag of domino sugar is almost $9 right now... Price gauging! We travel elsewhere to shop.

Also, if you have a coupon and your at walmart and the scan it and it will not work for whatever reason ( some bar codes don't like walmart) And you know the coupon is valid through there policy, ask if they can use the vendor coupon button for the amount. They will still keep your coupon, and some cashiers might get frustrated . But they have that button on there keypad for a reason, so make sure they use it!

If you bring a flyer in to sales match, it can't be a store that has a "bonus card" that gives you the deals , i.e. Shaws, Food Lion, etc.

I suggest you call and talk to the assistant manager over the front end and get the exact answer. Usually it's 25 miles but its ultimately up to each store to name their competitors.

Does anybody know the exact mile radius a store has to be from Wal-Mart for them to consider them a competitor? I live in a small town that has a Wal-Mart, but not much else. About 25 miles away there is a larger city with a Kroger, CVS, and another Wal-Mart. I usually just drive the extra 25 miles 2 or 3 times a month to do my major grocery shopping. Since the milk is $1 cheaper, I have been price matching with the Kroger Ads at my local Wal-Mart in between shopping trips. I had been told once by a manager that they would price match as long as the store was within 30 miles. A couple of weeks ago, I tried to price match my milk and the cashier wouldn't do it since the store isn't "local." I didn't argue with the cashier, but it's frustrating being told something different each time.

A 5 means it will double (if the store doubles coupons) automatically at the register. A 9 means it will not double.

Hey. One q for ya. I was real impressed by the way. Thanks for all the great info. I was a bit confused on the 5 vs 9 on the barcode. I went back and relistened, but I didn't seem to catch the point of a 5 vs a 9 on them. Can you tell me that please? I would greatly appreciate it.

You have done a tremendous job with your video teaching. I just watched your whole Smart Shopper video thread and was very impressed. I have been couponing seriously for a few months now, and I was able to learn about the bar codes on the coupons. I wasn't aware of that.
I don't shop at CVS because there aren't any nearby. I hope you post your Walgreens shopping information soon though. I will be sure to direct any newbies to your video thread to help them get started.

My Walmart will not technically accept another stores coupons but they will reduce the price off the same/matching item to the coupon price. And they will only price-match for stores within a certain radius because those are their closest competitors.

Why do they list store coupons on their coupon policy though? I called my local Walmart and the only she said was that they will price match Walgreens in-ad coupons. I asked specifically about Target's printables and she said no. I am thinking about trying to price match with Targets toy booklet though just to see what happens.I have not called central office about it though.
