Because my daughter had the flu, I have not done the 4 or 5 A Day in over a week. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that it will be returning in full force on Monday!

For those that are new to the blog, 5 A Day is an awesome feature I do Monday – Friday where I list 5 companies for everyone to email and give their opinion. I also post when I receive the coupons. Some companies send free or money off coupons for compliments (or complaints) and some just send a thank you (boo!). But it can be extremely rewarding! You can check out all the previous 5 A Day here.

4 A Day is also featured on Monday -Friday. I feature 4 freebies/samples to sign up for a day and I also update the freebies as I receive them. You can check out all the previous 4 A Day here.

There are so many ways to organize your coupons. I’ve tried all the methods. I had a binder for a while, but it takes soooooooooooooooooooo much time. So I thought I would share my method with you.

The main source of coupons is the newspaper. I used to cut out every single coupon (4 sets) and put them in my binder or box. That was taking me 2 or so hours a week! So I decided to keep all my inserts intact. I do cut out the coupons I know I will definitely use. I store my inserts by date in my coupon closet.

Photobucket
Photobucket

I get about 20 or so inserts a week. I have a lot of friends and family that save them for me.

I organize all my cut out coupons by category and file them in this tackle box I got at Walmart for $4.97. When picking out your box, I suggest you throw it on the floor a few times to make sure it doesn’t pop open. This box passed the test!

Photobucket

I use index card dividers to separate the categories. The box fits perfectly in a reusable bag from Publix!

I also carry 2 organizers in my purse. My first organizer is for my CVS cards, store specific coupons and coupons for free items.

Photobucket

The second oraganizer is where I organize my coupons for my shopping trips. I make anywhere from 2 to 4 trips to Publix a week so I gave each one it’s own pocket. I also have my restaurant coupons in the back.

Photobucket

So there you have it! That’s how I stay organized. If you have any questions, let me know!

My husband’s mother loves to sew. It is how she relaxes and she is so very talented. We went to visit her last weekend and she gave me a few new outfits for Emily. (She makes 75% of Emily’s clothes.) She did such an amazing job that I just had to brag on her!

I do pay for all the material and patterns. The 6 above outfits cost me approximately $45. Not too bad for custom made clothes!

I am not very good at shopping at Walgreens, but I continue to try to figure it out. Today I got everything pictured for $2.75. (I really hate tax.) I started with $10 in Register Rewards and I ended with $11 in Register Rewards. Not bad!

Photobucket

My friend got a $10/$50 and she doesn’t shop regularly at CVS, so she gave me the coupon and her card and told me to go for it. I had NO Extra Care Bucks. I used a bunch of my free item coupons to get the total up. It was $54.32 and I paid $4.22 and I earned her $3 in Extra Care Bucks! Not bad!

I had a great trip to Publix this morning. I wanted to use the Clean in Your Cart coupons (they expire today, 9/26). I went to 2 stores so I could use two $5/$50. My total before coupons was $144.11. After coupons it was $37.91.

Don’t forget to check out all the Publix deals here.
