1. Disney offers special discounts throughout the year. There is always some kind of special out. You can view their special offers page here. I also have a listing of the current special offers here.
2. Are you a member of the military? Disney offers exclusive discounts for military and their family. You can see those current discounts here.
3. Are you a Florida resident? You also get exclusive discounts! (Lucky!!) You can find all the current discounts here.
4. If you purchase an annual pass to Disney, you will be eligible for exclusive rates on your hotel. Be sure to read more information on that here.
5. If you are a member of AAA, they offer discounts on Disney hotels and tickets. Be sure to check with them for more details. It is not always cheaper, so be sure to compare the prices to Disney’s. See more information here.
6. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy your room and tickets separate. (This doesn’t work if you are interested in the dining plan, as you must book a Magic Your Way package for that or have an annual pass.) They almost always have a discount through Disney for room only. Plus you can sign up for the Mousesavers.com newsletter and on the 15th of every month their email out the newsletter. In that newsletter is an exclusive link to purchase discounted tickets from UndercoverTourist.com. These tickets are 5-10% cheaper than buying tickets from Disney and it’s a very reputable company!) This is what we are doing for our trip.
7. Participate in Disney’s Give A Day program. By volunteering for a day, you will receive a voucher for one day park admission. (There are some black out dates so make sure you check those out.) Wait to purchase your multi-day ticket until you get to Disney. On the morning of your first day, you go to the ticket window and you turn in your voucher to get your free ticket. You will be issued a regular ticket, the same as if you had paid for it. Use that ticket to enter the park. Later that same day, return to the ticket window and inform them that you want to upgrade your one day ticket to a multiday ticket. Because you already possess the 1 day ticket, you will get $84 off your multi-day ticket. They will reissue your ticket as a multi-day ticket for however many days you choose to buy (up to 10).
8. Check with your employer and see if they offer any kind of discount on your Disney trip. My husband’s does, but it isn’t more than what I can get elsewhere.
9. Be lucky enough to receive one of the exclusive PIN codes from Disney. These are for special rates / offers that aren’t available to the general public. You can read about how to improve your chances of getting a PIN here.
10. Sign up for the Chase Disney Rewards Visa. Not only do you get 1% back in rewards (in the form of a Disney gift card), but you’re also eligible for exclusive discounts. Some of these are the same ones that are offered to the general public, but Disney Visa Rewards members get them first.
