The mismark (not mismatch) is a boy. He will be priced as a pet on limited reg with AKC. He is in no way defective. Read about the breed at Australian Shepherd Club of America, its a great site. I am personally looking for a mini, but I love ALL Australian Shepherds. For anyone who isn't familiar with the breed, they are absolutely amazing dogs. They are super intelligent, loyal, and have the best personalities. My daughter was given one as a gift form her godparents when she was 2 (10 years ago) and now I am addicted. I can't imagine having any other type of dog. We now have two, and we swear they have human souls in a dog's body! They are the ultimate pet!! Are they full sized Aussies?
