I tried this at my local walmart and they only wanted to credit me the 97 cents. they said the free product must be more than the purchased one, requires a supervisor approval and the one there would not approve………just something to watch out for!
I was able to do this at Rite Aid
I tried this at target before and they said the same thing as TJ mentioned.
Did this today at walmart and got 4 travel shampoos and 4 full size styling products for a total of 3.88 + tax!! Also J & J buddies bar soap on clearence for .50, J & J body wash and shampoo for $1.00, and Loreal kids wash on clearence for $1.00. match these with man q”s and they are free with overage on buddies bars. They were all in makeup section by the lotions and foot care items.

I used the coupons at Target and they were only going to give me credit for $.97 but I asked the cashier to ring up the styling product for free because the coupon reads to receive a free styling product with purchase of shampoo. The cashier read the coupon and took off the amount of the styling product. :) Great savings with this coupon!!
I had the same issues………some will let you use it, others won’t……… It is that try at your own risk type Q :)
