More than 600,000 people have volunteered or signed up to volunteer for the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day promotion in the first six weeks of 2010. This means that 600,000 people have registered to volunteer. Disney stated at the beginning of the promotion that they are only giving out 1 million tickets. So if you plan to volunteer, I suggest you do it now instead of later.
Now Disney might extend the 1 million number, but that is not a definite. So if you can set up a volunteer opportunity soon, I would go ahead and do it. We volunteered in January and had our vouchers in 4 days.
If you have or if you plan to do this promotion, leave me a comment letting me know about your experience!

I have volunteered and already completed my donation.. I have not gotten anything back yet but due to the holiday I am not expecting a response until next week. Will let you know but so far everything was easy and worked just as it states.. I am excited to head to Disney this summer.. Thank you Disney..
We are headed to do our volunteer work on Feb 27th. I am excited about doing it but nervous I might mess it up. Hopefully it all works out and we will be heading to Disney this fall!
We’ve finished ours! My husband and I made quilts for Project Linus, turned them in, and got our vouchers two days later. We’re going to Disneyland at the beginning of March.
I posted all about it as well as deals we’ve found to help us save money on our trip here:

We are planning on doing it, but have yet to sign up. My son doesn’t turn 6 until the end of April and I wasn’t sure if we could sign up now and just register with a date that far in advance or if I would have to wait until late March-Early April to set our days.
We completed our project (making blankets) last weekend and received our vouchers on Thursday! Our plan is to visit Disney in June.
We volunteer this afternoon!!
We are volunteering next Thursday and then off to Disney World the first of May. We are so excited. We want to stay four days in the park and this is our first visit. Not sure what to do once we get there with the vouchers and upgrading for addational days. Anyone have any suggestions?
We donated bags of food to a food shelter and received our confirmation letter/ticket coupon 4 days later!!! Can’t wait to go to the MK before our Disney cruise in 11 days!!
