CVS – Have you scanned your card lately?

in Posts

PhotobucketA lot of CVS stores have a scanner machine like pictured above. You can scan your card at this machine and it will print out store coupons that are tied to your card. (It’s almost like playing the slot machines. You just don’t know what you are going to get!)

You can visit  IHeartCVS.com to see a list of all the current scanner coupons.

Coupons printed at the scanner also print at the register on the bottom of your receipt. This type of coupon is referred to as Cash Register Tape coupon or CRT.

When I tell you to scan your card at the scanner, this is what I am referring too.

Be sure to check out the various ways to save at CVS.

I went there last night for the huggies wipes and my store had all huggies wipes on for that price but the coupons I got were 5 off 50. Not very good considering what everyone else was getting.

I found the machine in the CVS I go to for the 1st time ever yesterday ( passed by it in the past, never realizing it was there) and it gave me a “save $5 when you spend $15″. I purchased 6 bags of wipes for $4.68, I had a ton of coupons some as much as $2 off the Huggies wipes, awesome deal as I was running low anyway and was about to go to Sam’s to get some more.

I got the $5 off $15 and an $3 off Almay color makeup. Made for some great deals on Almay foundation and eye shadow when paired with the $2/1 coupons from a couple weeks ago!

I also went for the Huggies wipes yesterday, and got the $5 off $15 too!! It was my first time scanning as well…I wonder if that makes a difference?

I scanned my card for the first time last night and got the $4 off $20. I paired that with a $5 off Airwick imotion (priced at $5.99), the free excedrin product ($5.49) and Bioluxe BIGI Free (9.99)…Got all 4 products for 6.98 plus a 9.99 rebate (hang tag) on the Bioluxe = about a $3 overage after rebate!

I have only gotten $1/2 for CVS tissues the last couple of times. I wish I could find more of those $5 off coupons.

Do all CVS’s have these machines? I didn’t see a machine at my CVS the last time I was there.

(I’m just starting to play the Drug Store Game with CVS since the Proglide came out last week)

I don’t believe they all have one yet, but be sure to ask in case they have them stuck somewhere really weird.
