Sams Club has released a one day shopping pass that is good until December 31, 2010! You do have to pay a 10% surcharge on your purchase total, but this is a great way to go in and see if a membership is worth it.
I buy a lot of meat at Sams Club. Sometimes I find other great deals there (I love shopping in the middle of the store where they keep all the special buys!)

In some states (like here in CA) they are not allowed to charge the extra 10%. Not sure which other states follow this rule, but it’s usually in the fine print on the pass.
