I have the 2 disc combo that has Toy Story 1 & 2. Do you think I would still be able to do this deal?

Reply

2 Kristin March 19, 2010 at 12:45 pm

Yes, I believe you will. :)

3 Debbie March 19, 2010 at 2:04 pm

I believe it will work. I have the 2 disc combo and just tried entering the UPC. This was my message “The Magic Code you entered is not valid yet.”

WooHoo!!! Add in the deal I got on the Princess & the Frog (save $15 on any Disney) by “reserving” mine at Toys R Us….cha-ching SAVINGS!

What is this “save $15 on any Disney” by pre-ordering deal? I read about it somewhere else but called my TRU and they had NO idea what I was talking about.

8 Andy March 20, 2010 at 10:30 am

I got “princess & the Frog” too….

Reply

9 kristine March 19, 2010 at 1:46 pm

I just called as well, and was told it was $5 in saving on next Disney movie purchase…

What if I preordered TS1 and 2 on Amazon? Is there any way to use this coupon?

Reply

11 Kristin March 19, 2010 at 2:51 pm

Unfortunately no. Your best bet is to cancel your Amazon order and do one in the stores. You should be able to cancel it hassle free.

Reply

12 Catherine March 19, 2010 at 9:03 pm

I did the same thing. I had ordered it and then I found this deal so, since it had not shipped yet, I was able to cancel it hassle free :) Now I can save even more!!!

I have the vhs but no box :(

14 vickie Jones March 19, 2010 at 3:49 pm

My coupon seems to be only for Toy Story 1, at the bottom it says Remember to get your $10 upgrade coupon for Toy Story 2?

Reply

15 Tara Kate March 19, 2010 at 8:04 pm

You then need to go back to the DMR homepage and enter in the UPC code from a Toy Story 2 VHS or DVD and you will then be able to print your coupon for $10 off Toy Story 2. I printed off the coupons for both and that’s how I did it.

Reply

16 vickie Jones March 19, 2010 at 11:10 pm

Ah, I only have Toy Story 1, that explains it. Okay

Reply

17 Cheryl March 19, 2010 at 3:49 pm

Kristin-
Can we use the $5/1 coupons that we printed yesterday too?
I have TS1 on VHS and plan to get the $10/TS1 coupon on Tues am. Can I use the $5/1 coupon for TS1 as well? Regardless of if I can for TS1, I should be able to for TS2 right (I don’t have a previous copy of it)?

Reply

18 Kristin March 19, 2010 at 5:12 pm

You can use either the $10/1 or the $5/1 on each of the movies. You can use the $10/1 on Toy Story 1 and the $5/1 on Toy Story 2. You just can’t use both the $10 and the $5 on one movie. :)

19 Cheryl March 19, 2010 at 5:17 pm

Thanks Kristin! That is what I thought, just wanted to make sure!

Reply

20 lindsey March 19, 2010 at 4:13 pm

Are you sure it will only be 16.99 at TRU. The $10 coupon says it is for the special edition blue ray combo. those are usually in the mid $20′s.

Reply

21 Kristin March 19, 2010 at 5:13 pm

That is what the ad scan says…. I’ve had it confirmed by 3 different sources. So fingers crossed!

I commented earlier on the save $15….IN STORES when you pre-order TS I & II it says on the top of the reserve slip “save up to $15 on the purchase of ANY disney movie TODAY. If you reserve one you get $5 off any disney movie $14.99 or higher, if you reserve both you get $15 off any disney movie $19.99 or higher. I reserved both and purchased The Princess & the Frog and used the printable coupon for $10 off the Princess movie without a problem. It is an immediate savings and the cashier knew about it when he was ringing it up but it also says it right on the reserve slip.

Reply

25 cheryl March 19, 2010 at 6:40 pm

I figured it out. Forgot to put the little numbers in the front and back of the upc code in the number.

Reply

26 Teresa March 19, 2010 at 7:05 pm

I was able to get the $10 coupon by entering the UPC from my dvs which is “The Ultimate Toy Box”. It has both movies and a 3rd disc of supplemental features. Be sure to enter the little numbers at the beginning and end – 12 numbers in all.

This worked like a charm tonight! No issues at all, which is a first for me at Toys R Us! I paid $4.78 (after $3 birthday coupon) for the Princess and the Frog, and hopefully will only pay $1.99 apiece for both Toy Story movies this week! Oh, and then send in the rebates for the Princess movie and get it all back! Thanks so much, Kristin, for posting this deal!

I just got back from Toys r us. I reserved the Toy Story and Toy Story Two for $5.00 each and bought the Princess and Frog advertised price $34.99, by reserving both Toy Story movies I got $15.00 off also they have a Disney promo going on that took and additional $5.00 off and with the printable $10 off coupon I paid $4.99 for the movie. which has 2 $5.00 mail in rebates so the way I see it is I am going to pay a total of $8.97 for all 3 movies!!! Thank You so much, I never would have figured that out without you!!!! Your site is the best!!!

Reply

44 Kristin March 21, 2010 at 10:24 am

I forgot about the free movie tickets in each movie so actually I am making $8.03 for all three movies!!!!!

I just went to Toys R us and the lady said they wont take the coupon unless it is advertised in their advertisement. She said they dont take the printable online coupons. Anyone sle having this problem??

Reply

46 Catherine March 21, 2010 at 1:25 pm

Let me confirm that they just said they dont take internet coupons!

Reply

47 Cheryl March 24, 2010 at 10:26 am

I called ToysRUs customer service and was told that they do accept manufacturer’s coupons including the coupons that are internet printable. The IP coupons must have a bar code that can be scanned. You may want to try again and speak to a manager or call corporate yourself when you are in the store.

I put in the upc code for my Toy Story and Toy Story 2 Combo DVD set and only got the link for the Toy Story coupon. No Link for Toy Story 2. What is up with that? Anyone else having same issue?

Reply

49 Jai March 23, 2010 at 2:45 am

For the combo pack dvd you get the toy story coupon. In order to get the TS2 coupon you have to enter a upc code for TS2. Sucked for me cause I own the combo pack and the 10th Anniversary of Toy Story. But luckily I found this site. Go to a previous post where the upc code is and use it.

went to TRU today and they were out of Princess and Frog Combo. Ended up with a better deal. Bought Princess and Frog DVD for $19.99, got $15 credit for reserving Toy Story 1 & 2, $5 credit for a disney promotion, and used $5 internet coupon, AND got free jewlery box as in ad for princess movie purchase. Paid $5.08 for all and when I pick up my movies tuesday, will pay $3.98 plus tax. Total OOP will be $9.06 for all 3 movies, submit for $10 in rebates which will make it free plus 2 free movie tickets! WHOOO HOOOO!!!!!!

Reply

51 Catherine March 21, 2010 at 8:01 pm

Did you ask if they will take the toy story coupon?

Reply

52 Mendy March 21, 2010 at 8:57 pm

I’m wondering if I can take the Toys R Us ad to Target and price match? If we price match teh $16.99 price wyb both AND get the Target $10 wyb both AND use both $10/1 mf qs, you get both for $3.98.

Will Target accept this ad? It is not time sensitive….

Reply

53 Jai March 23, 2010 at 2:59 am

No, Retailers don’t allow cents off ads (or in this case $’s off) as competitor ads deal. Simply because the competitor can up the price then offer the cents off and the retailer would have to take the cents off from whatever they sell it at even if its on sale.

Reply

54 Mendy March 26, 2010 at 12:14 am

I was able to do it! I purchased both Toy Story 1 & 2 at Target (and price matched the Toys R Us ad) and paid $3.93 (+ sales tax) for both movies!!

55 Ashley S March 21, 2010 at 11:40 pm

I was up at TRU today, but it was not my usual one so I didnt reserve- but I plan on going tomorrow if I still can. It said if you reserve both, they will give you the $15 off any Disney DVD priced $19.99 or higher. The Princess and the Frog was on sale for $19.99 and you get a free jewlry box with purc. I wonder if I could combine the $15 with my $5 coup to get for free?? I am running up there so I will keep my fingers crossed and let you guys know tomorrow!

Reply

56 Shelby Engelhardt March 22, 2010 at 11:03 am

I am glad you guys can print the 10 coupons. It says I already have printed them which I haven’t. UGH I already pre-ordered them and now I have to pay the full price!!! I am soooo mad right now.

Reply

57 Naomi March 22, 2010 at 11:23 am

I had the same issue as Shelby. I put in my codes but when I went to print it said that I had already printed them when I did not. UGH!!!! Does anyone know what to do about it?

Reply

58 Kristin March 22, 2010 at 11:59 am

Uh oh. It usually says that when it has run out of prints.

59 Jessica B March 22, 2010 at 1:55 pm

I went this morning to TRU, and first asked at customer service if they accepted the Disney computer printed coupon that I took with me for $10 off. They said yes.
At checkout, I asked about the $14.99/$15 off if you pre-order both T1 & T2. The cashier checked to see if I could still pre-order and to see if the $15 off was in effect. They were both in stock (for release tomorrow) & in effect. So, I pre-ordered T1 & T2 for $5 each, and got The Tigger Movie (a 19.99 value) for free (due to the $5 Disney promo & the $15 offer).

Does anyone else’s coupon say “Good in Canada Only” ? what is that all about?

Reply

65 Irene March 23, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Make sure you print the one that says “good in US only”

Reply

66 Erin March 25, 2010 at 6:45 pm

If I’m not mistaken, because we got Princess and the Frog plus made the $10.00 deposits for TS1 and TS2 for a total of about $7.XX, and then with the movies being on sale at TRU for $16.99 each with the $10.00 coupons and the $5.00 deposits, I paid $5.XX – the total for ALL THREE MOVIES was about $13.00. Once we send the rebate forms, we will actually come out ahead by about $2.00 plus the tickets. THREE FREE BLUE RAY/DVD COMBOS, plus TICKETS!!!

I would take it that this deal is no longer valid I had entered the UPCs from my old movies and it didn’t redirect me to print anything. Go figure but I am trying to save for movie tickets to see number 3. We usually can’t go to the movies but if anybody knows the magic code for the toy story 1 & 2 blueray combo pack that would help us get one ticket closer to seeing it when it comes out . Thanks A bunch!!
