Target Toys on clearance up to 75% off!

in Target

There are reports of people finding toys on clearance at their Target for 75% off! Christy at Thrifty and Thriving hit the jackpot at her local store. (See all her finds here.) And my reader Michelle emailed me to let me know she found them too!

Target clearances their toys twice a year. Just after Christmas and in July (to make way to for the Christmas toys). I usually have really great luck at these sales!

Let me know what you find!

I scored at two Targets today and had to try hard not to go to a third. Got alot of great deals. I love Target’s toy clearance. I get such a high when I save all that money. And I have stuff for my son and for parties he is invited to and for my nieces and nephews for Christmas and future birthdays. Love it.

Pensacola is included… the Blue Angel one anyways… I was there earlier today and got a few Toy Story toys for my son.

I don’t reccomend buying the flying Buzz toy though… I’ll be returning that! It made out of styrofoam and doesn’t fly but for a couple of seconds… the tail end of him almost broke off just taking him out of the box!

Our Toys are mostly still at 30% I went this morning and no employees were even seen in the aisles marking anything down. Maybe next week?

My nearest Target is an hour away, but even if I were to pack up the kiddos and go today (ours are clearancing right now, too…just heard today) usually the first people to know about it are SOOOO greedy and clear the shelves. I mean, I understand getting a good deal on things you will want/need, but I’m not a fan of greed and just taking everything because it’s cheap.

I agree! I was reading on another message board about people getting 4 buggies worth of toys. Probably to sell on Ebay. :(

This happened to me last year. I was looking through a cart full of toys with no visible owner and this lady came up from behind me and went nuts. She “said” that they were for a charity that she gives to, but I have a hard time believing that someone who donates toys to charities by the truckload would yell at someone who was mistakenly looking through one of their carts. Today I only had two other people overlooking the toys at the same time as I was and they were very nice and not hoarding everything. I had one cart overflowing, but that was mostly due to two big things I bought.

I got there five minutes before the doors opened and headed to the toys. I bought about $190 worth of toys–all 75% off. It will take care of all of our toy needs for Christmas except for Santa presents and I plan on using my Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks for those… I found so many toys that will be perfect for my kids, my nieces, nephew and friends’ kids…bakugans, hotwheels–individuals and sets, Knex sets, a motorized Nascar track, a Leap Frog Tag system and books, a wooden kitchen for the Target brand of American Girl (I was giddy when I found this), some play food, teasets, several sets of Jungle in my pocket, several mini Barbie sets, a few stuffed animals, a Disney princess phone, Disney princess babies, something Tinkerbell for my niece, mega block sets, three good sized RC cars…that’s all I can remember at the moment. It’s all still in my car so the kids won’t see it! :)

I will be there early next year. I went after work, about 5:30 and there were two ladies there that had cleared the shelves. That didn’t really upset me as much as the fact that they would block the aisles with their carts and I couldn’t even get the shelf until they were done. By then, there was nothing much left.

I went to my Target in Tennessee today & got quite a few nice things for my girls’ birthdays and for birthday parties for friends. Nothing cost more than about $5 or so. Later on in my trip, I happened to go by the toys, and the employees were loading all the clearance up. So, I’d suggest heading out soon, if you plan to score some good deals. I hope you gals have lots of luck with your toy shopping!
