We just went through the same thing last Christmas. As hard as it may seem right now, try to remember that God has a plan, that He knows a little something that you do not about what great things lie in your future. Our most painful experiences can sometimes be seen in a different light in years to come. I almost died giving birth to my daughter, ten years ago this Sunday. It was the most horrible and traumatic experience. Nine years and three days later, I was in a hospital room with my baby sister, while she was having her baby, and I helped to save her life and her son’s because she has exactly the same problems as I did. Exactly. Almost as if God knew I would need that knowledge to save someone else one day…:) Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know, that I am God.” It always comforts me…Good Luck and God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have never meet but I feel that I know you because I am on your site everyday. I know that no words can take away the pain. But I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. It is a very hard process to go through. I lost my baby in 2007 and it is the hardest thing I ever had to go through. I have three kids so I knew I had to be strong. For the first couple of weeks I would cry when I was alone so no one would worry. To this day it still hurts like it just happened. But I reliazed that when it is my time she will be waiting for me on the other side.

My heart completely sank when I saw this…I have no words to say to make you feel better. This is going to be a hard time and there are going to be tears and questions unsolved, 2 1/2 years ago I lost both my twin girl and boy, it felt like the world riped my heart out, I cried the whole time giving birth. I have a mission though after this tragedy that has helped me feel better and that was to involve myself with organizations such as “March of Dimes”. Please, as soon as your able join a support group with other families who have gone through the same, this has helped me so much. I am not really religious but I believe sometimes God just couldn’t wait and takes our angels earlier than we would like. I hope you come to peace soon, you are in my thoughts.

today is pregnancy and loss remembrance day. If everyone lights a candle at 7pm and keeps it burning til 8pm- it will make a continuous wave of light around the world. Like you I went your ultrasound with all the hopes in the world and left with an empty heart. I have 2 healthy girls and 3 angel babies. It does get better, its been 3 yrs since the loss, and I still think of them, but like others have said, I know I will see them again. Grieving with you and your family. When I lost my unborn baby, I wanted to commemorate him/her just as I did the other children. Some make ornaments for the tree, but I made “a heaven announcement” just for us, in the same style as our normal birth announcement. He/she was as real a person as the others, and my kids talk about him normally.

I am so sorry:(. I know how it feels. I went thru this in 2005. What made me feel better was knowing that it was not my fault and thinking that my baby is in Gods arms. I also realized that it was best 4 it 2 happen when it did since if it wouldn’t have happened, I could have had a baby w many problems and not a good quality of life. God knows best even when it’s so hard. He will hold u thru this and just take 1 day @ a time. Love on the 2 blessings u have. I am so sorry. I had a miscarriage in april. I went in for three month check up to hear a heartbeat and there wasn’t one. The pain isn’t easy b/c u already love your child. Sometimes the worst is everyone telling you that god has a plan, or that maybe it happened for a reason. God does have a plan, but that doesn’t mean that this was a part of it and it just hurts. I’m so sorry b/c it isn’t easy and i will keep you in my prayers.

Today’s date is a bad one for me as well. 4 years ago today was my due date with my first baby. I unfortunately miscarried that baby at 10 weeks. When October 15th rolled around (my due date) I was pregnant again, but miscarried on that day. So this day goes down as the most awful for me. I went on to have a 3rd miscarriage before welcoming our 1st baby boy in 08. I say all this to say that I feel your pain today and each year as this date comes and goes I will remember you in my prayers and remember your little one as well. Nothing makes it better, but I truly do believe we get to hold them in our arms one day up in heaven. I have 2 beautiful boys down here on earth (2 yrs and 3 months) and I’m convinced I have 3 beautiful girls up there just waiting for me. 4 years later for me it still hurts, but time does help heal. My heart breaks for you and your family. No one wants to go through this. I lost my angel baby last year (May 09). Since then I have given birth to a precious baby girl who is now 6 months old.

I am so very sorry Kristin. Words are meaningless right now. You will find the strength in being with your family, through their love. I know this loss as well…there will always be a small hole in your heart. My friend lost her twin girls a few years ago, as well as 3 other miscarriages. She was about 5 months with the twins and went into premature labor that the doctors could not stop. She delivered them, and got to hold them for a few hours before they passed. She went on to have 2 healthy kids a few years ater, a boy and a girl. She refers to her twins as her angel babies, and knows they watch over her little girl and boy. I wish you and your family love, comfort, peace, and healing Kristin. I hope it comforts you somewhat to have so many people caring and praying for you. Just remember that you are blessed, and God has a plan for your angel baby. I think your kids may have a new guardian angel.

I am so sorry for your loss. I too have walked this path, and while no two families experience this grief in the same way, it is easy for no one.
This may be hard to hear, but the best suggestion I received, was to have our baby’s remains cremated. This allowed us to truly acknowledge the validity of our loss, and grieve when and how we needed to. Ultimately, years later, we sprinkled our daughters ashes at our family cabin, and every day I am grateful that someone was willing to broach this difficult subject. Please know that I do so with nothing but the best of intent, and free of any judgment about what works for your family. If I have overstepped, please forgive me, and accept my deepest sympathy for what you are experiencing.

I had a miscarriage at 19 weeks 5 years ago and lost my grandma the following day, and my comforting thought though all of the loss was that my grandmother was holding my baby in heaven until I can see them again. My heart aches for you, I have lost two babies and been blessed with one. When people ask how many children I have I want to say three but know that the questions that follow would only confuse and upset the person asking.
Most of the comments I recieved during the losses were not helpful and sometimes even hurtful. The only one that resonated with me was a friend who simply said with heartfelt hurt “that sucks”. It summed it up nicely in our modern language.

At Bible study Wednesday night we finished the book of Job. The pastor pointed out that Job had not lost his children that perished in the beginning of the book. You don’t actually lose something when you know where it is, and your baby is in heaven. I too, have suffered through this type of situation, it can be extremely difficult. But perhaps you can find some comfort from this thought. Someday we will be reunited with our babies in heaven! Lean on the Lord.

I am so very very sorry for your loss. I understand how you are feeling and what you are going through. I lost my first child when I was 22 weeks pregnant. I had just had an ultrasound the week before to find out that I was having a boy and the next week he was gone. It was so unbelievably hard to get through it, he would have turned 7 years old this past June. But I am thankful that God blessed me with two beautiful, healthy children that are now 6 and 4!! Kristin, I am so very sorry for your loss. I was pregnant and due a week from you. I lost my baby at 11 weeks. Feelings of anger and emptiness and pain and sadness have been hard to wrestle with. Dont be afraid to grieve your loss. It is very real. We do not get to hold our babies in our arms right now; it doesnt seem fair or right. But I know that your child and our child are safe in the arms of Jesus, who loves our children even more than we do. We look forward to a glorious reunion when God restores all things.

There are no words to express how I am feeling for you or the way you must be feeling. I only know you through your blog, but I cried for you and your baby. God knew you needed an extra special person to watch over you. Someone to take with you all the time. You have a special bond with your baby that noone will ever know. He or she was yours and yours alone. Treasure the time you had with your little one and always think of him or her when you see that bird fly by, hear the wind whistle as it blows by, see a butterfly on a flower, look at the stars above. You’ll know when your little one stops by and gives you a little “hello”. Whatever the sign is, you’ll know. Your new little angel is as sweet and as bright as can be.

I lost a baby between my daughter and my boys and still think of that little one. I’m so sorry. There are no good words for this. Praying.

Oh, Kristin, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a baby several years ago, and I still catch myself wondering about and missing him/her a bunch. I am so sorry for you and your family. We also lost a baby and their isn’t anything that can be said to make the pain go away right now. Hug your kids and hubby tight, that will help!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Those feelings of loosing a child never go away, even though it has been 12 years I still think of her from time to time. Talk about your precious baby to your children and let them know they have an angel in heaven that will look upon them everyday. Someday you will meet your baby in heaven. our deepest symapthy.

My prayers to you. It’s heartbreaking to lose something so precious. I lost twins to m/c at 8 weeks in 2001 and I lost a daughter at 19 weeks to Triploidy in 2005. I had the same measurement issues you mentioned. It’s devastating but it does get easier over time. If you need to email me and talk, please do. Love your blog!

So sorry to hear your loss. I had two losses after my first child, Emma, who is 7 years old next month. Both losses where Partial Molar. Rare to have it twice. I thank the Lord now for our Audrey who is now 2-1/2 years old. We almost gave up and decided to try one more month. Thank goodness. She is such a blessing to us. I didn’t have as hard of a time over the two losses as most people would. First time I was 13 weeks, the second one I knew by 9 weeks. I wanted a healthy child and God heard my prayers. I was 42 years old when my second was born, so I know I am very fortunate with my family at this late in age. I hope you find peace soon. Thanks for everything you do for all of us.
