Hey guys,
I just wanted to thank you all so much for your wonderful words, prayers and support. I have not had a chance to read them yet but I will.
Today has been a crazy day. My daughter was in a parade at 1:30 and now we are about to head to the fair. I am feeling good at the moment. It’s so surreal.
I am going to spend the weekend with my family doing fun things. And then I go to the hospital Sunday night at 6 pm. They said I might be there 24 to 48 hours.
My wonderful friend Amy from Who Said Nothing In Life Is Free is going to post here on the blog for me over the next few days. I hear there are a lot of great deals out there for you guys!
Again, thank you all so much. I am truly a blessed person to have so many people who care for me and my family. If I could ever pray for you, please let me know.
And for those that requested it, here is my addy:

I am so sorry to hear of your lose.
I have gone thru this several times when I was still able to have children. I lost one later that the others… around 5-6 months along. It took me helping my oldest daughter thru a loss at 35 weeks…. to finally have closure of my own lose including losing my Grand Daughter. It is so heartbreaking to go thru this and to see my own daughter go thru a loss also. Especially so late in her pregnancy.
There are ALOT of wonderful support groups available thru larger medical centers. We also found online infant loss support groups that really helped ALOT when my daughter lost her daughter.
I am praying for you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost a child at 16 weeks gestation and it was my first pregnancy. I know the pain that you are going through and words alone can not describe it. My prayers are with you and your family and you deal with this loss. Know though that there are thousands of people who are thinking and praying for you.
From another fellow coupon blogger…take the time off that you need to grieve and heal.

Kristen, I’m so sorry for your loss. I, too, have lost a baby while pregnant, and know how strange it is to be walking around, knowing the baby that hours ago was alive and kicking isn’t anymore. I have a dear friend who has suffered this loss too many times, and keeps a very uplifting blog about it. It is called Hope in the Waiting: http://lordfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/
I hope it brings you peace. I’m praying for you and your family.
Amy says
Kristen I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost a baby at seventeen weeks. I totally understand what you say when you describe it as surreal. I think I stayed in shock for awhile but thankfully the Lord brought me to my Church family shortly after our loss. A year later we had a gorgeous baby boy by the grace of God.
When I was going through this a very wise lady told me what one of her children told her. She had miscarried two babies and then went on to have two precious children. They are tweens now. This lady was telling her daughter about her loss and her daughter responded, Momma if you hadn’t lost those babies you would never have known me. Ah how children can give you a fresh perspective.
Your baby is in heaven praising God at the throne! Perhaps there is another baby waiting to come and meet you very soon. Prayers coming you way <3

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the time you put into your blog so that the rest of us can share in the savings.

Wow,
I was completely shocked to come onto your site and see this. My four year old likes to check my coupon sites with me and happened to be sitting at the computer when I was reading that you had lost the baby. Sometimes I forget she can read… She asked me what it ment and I told her the baby had died. She looked at me with a straight face and said ” oh well that means the mommy will be sad but the baby is going to be happy because now its up in heaven with god watching everybody right?” I cried. Only out of the mouth of a child. Nothing I can say will bring back your baby or take the pain away but you will be in our prayers.

Gina says
Oh I do feel for you! We lost our little baby Lael Jayden when I was 12 weeks along and he was suppose to be measuring 9 weeks. We named our baby that because it means God has answered our prayers and belongs to the Lord which our prayer every single day was that our baby belonged to the Lord and we know our prayers were answered. Read about how David when his son died he talked about seeing him again and I’ll see Lael someday just as you will see your baby someday. May the Lord give you great peace and comfort.
Amy W says
So sorry to hear about your loss. I will be praying so hard for you and your family during this time. My mom lost a baby before I was born, and I have four really close friends who have all lost children. That being said I know that I could never understand the pain and that no other baby you might have will ever replace this one, but one day you will see them in heaven and you can look forward to that day. If there is anything in the world that we (your readers) could do for you to make you feel even a tiny bit better right now, please let us know!
Jen says
So sorry! Its very tough to lose a child. Some don’t understand, and think its something you can just “get over”, but its not that easy! Surround yourself with family, friends and things you love. Reach out to those who can share their experiences with you. Cry, laugh, have what you need for closure. Don’t let anyone tell you how to grieve!
Again, so sorry. Support and hugs to you and your family over the next few weeks/months!

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I do not know what you are going through personally but I have a friend who experienced this many times unfortuantely. I myself nearly lost my baby, she came into this world at 26 weeks. May you find comfort in your family and in the words that everyone here has left you.

Kristin,
First I am stunned. I think that is a normal reaction to things like this. It happened to me when I was about 11 weeks and I had a really hard time understanding what the doctor was telling me. Of course it didn’t help that it wasn’t my normal doctor and she was not nice at all.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know you will come out as a stronger family.
Cindy says

Praying for grace and comfort. I have lost three babies myself but God is good and sustained me through it all. I know there are not any words that will give you comfort but just know that you are loved. I have been following your post for a couple months now but haven’t ever posted. I just want to say thank you for all your hard work. You have a beautiful family! Your tips and links have helped me get my grocery budget under control for the first time since we had kids.

Kristen I know there are NO words that will take your pain away but after praying for you and your family I came across some scriptures and thought you might like to read them. I am a firm believer in God and that he is big engough for all are problems and all of our heartaches!
Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”
Isaiah 41:10 “…do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Romans 8:38,29 “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Hebrews 13:5 “…God has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
I have never known the kind of loss that you are going through but I’m praying for you and for your family! You will continue to be in my thoughts and my prayers!

Kristin,
I am so sorry for your deep loss. I have never lost a child, but I have lost a family member, and I can well understand some of the raw grief you are and will be experiencing. If there’s one thing I learned, it is to hold close to your family and it sounds like you are doing just that!
Praying for you in Atlanta!
P.S. If you feel like it, you may want to look up the song “Shadowfeet” by Brooke Fraiser. It has a beautiful message and I adopted it as “my song” during days of loss.
Denise-Scrapmouse says

Lifting you up in prayer to our precious Lord Jesus, our Shepherd and Comfortor. “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
