Rite Aid has 2 ways to save. Single Check Rebates (called SCR) and Up Rewards.
Single Check Rebates:
SCR stands for Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid’s monthly rewards/rebate program. Just register here and you can immediately start participating. Each month Rite Aid publishes a booklet that highlights these deals.
Throughout the month as you make purchases, enter your receipt information on the website or keep an envelope for mail submissions. At the end of the month, you can request your rebate by clicking the “request rebate” button. DO NOT request the rebate if you are planning to make any more rebate purchases that month as you are only allowed one submission per month.
Check the limitations for the items you are expecting rebates on. Most of the SCR rebates are limited to one item per household. Also, you’ll want to take note of the rebate dates. Many of the rebates are valid for just a week and not the entire month. Also sometimes an SCR cycle straddles two months.
If you have a coupon for an item that is free after rebate (FAR) then definitely use it. You will get the full purchase price back. If you use a coupon for that item, you’ve just made a profit for your fund!
+Up Rewards
Look for +Up Reward items throughout the weekly circular. When you use your Wellness+ card, the Up Rewards will print on the end of your receipt and you can use them to buy another product in the store (excluding prescriptions, tobacco, alcohol, etc). Make sure you note when they expire and treat them just like cash.
Using store coupons at Rite Aid
Many times Rite Aid offers money off total purchase coupons (like a $5 off $25 purchase). These are awesome coupons to have because they are applied BEFORE store and manufacturer coupons.
One way to get a money off of total purchase coupon is by viewing the video values coupons. Just view 20 1-2 minute videos advertising different products and you will get one of these coupons, plus extra coupons for the item commercials you just viewed. These are Rite-Aid coupons and can be combined with in-ad coupons and/or manufactured coupons. These are limited to one per customer.
Rite Aid produces its own coupons and releases them either in the weekly flyer or online. These can be stacked with manufacturer coupons. They do NOT work like a Walgreen’s coupon where you only need one to get the reduced price for every item you are buying. If you buy more than one item, you ll need to clip the required number of store coupons from their ad, although some stores limit these to one per customer.
Rite Aid Coupon Policy
You can see the complete coupon policy here. Print it and take it along with you in case you ever have a problem with a cashier or a manager.
One awesome thing about Rite Aid is that their coupon policy clearly states that if they are having a Buy One Get One Free sale, and you use a Buy One, Get One Free coupon…you get both items for FREE!
Wellness+ rewards
Rite Aid has a new program called Wellness+ where you earn points for your purchases. You will need to apply for your card here. You will get a temporary card and the permanent one will be mailed to you.

Don’t forget to update your Rite-Aid Coupon Policy- the BOGO has changed- May 2011
quick question: I couldn’t find Rite Aid’s UP policy: on the Old Spice that’s on ad, b2g$3UP, I have 3 coupons that are $1/2. So, if I buy 6 Old Spice would I get $9 in UP’s or just $3UP?
