How to use Swag Bucks to Coupon to Disney:
- Follow the steps below to earn with Swag Bucks
- Cash your Swag Bucks in for Amazon.com gift cards. Use these to pay for items you were planning on buying anyways. Instead of paying cash for the item, use your Amazon.com gift cards to pay and take that amount out of your budget and put it in your fund! (For example: If you were buying a book for $5, you would use your $5 Amazon.com gift card to pay and take $5 cash out of your budget and put it in your fund.)
- Save the gift cards for Christmas! (That’s what I usually do.)
- Be sure to read Getting Started “Couponing to Disney”
What is Swag Bucks?
Swag Bucks is a search engine that awards you in the form of Swag Bucks (points that can be traded in for prizes.) You can chose from a variety of prizes including gift cards. My favorite is a $5 Amazon.com gift card. It costs 450 Swag Bucks.
You get 30 Swag Bucks for joining and can win anywhere from 20 – 50 Swag Bucks a day if you search until you win in the morning and in the evening. I usually win within my first 5 searches. They also have Swag Codes out at least 5 times a week that can be worth 10 – 30 Swag Bucks. I always notify you of them on my blog when they are available.
To sign up, go here. Your account will be credited 30 Swag Bucks just for joining!
Here is how to earn more Swag Bucks:
Search
The key is to use Swag Bucks as a replacement for your current search engine. Use it frequently. One tip is to use it to visit websites. The second most popular source of traffic on my blog is via the Swag Bucks search engine because my readers are searching Couponing To Disney in the Swag Bucks search box to visit my website.
Swag Codes
Swag Codes are bonus codes that you enter in the “Enter Your Swag Code” box on Swagbucks.com’s home page. When I know that there is a Swag Code out, I post a message here on the blog as well as on my Facebook and Twitter pages.
Swag Codes can vary in value. The most I have seen is 30 Swagbucks and the least I have seen is 3. But it’s nice to earn a bonus.
Follow Swag Bucks
Be sure to read their blog, and become a fan on Facebook and Twitter. They release Swag Codes on these media outlets.
Use the Swag Bucks Toolbar
Here’s how:
Go to Swagbucks.com and look down the menu on the left side.
Click on Toolbars at the bottom of the list.
Download and install the Toolbar.
Use it to search Swag Bucks, keep track of your earnings and more!
Use the Swag Bucks toolbar everyday and you will earn at least 1 bonus Swag Buck a day! Plus there are often exclusive Swag Codes released on the toolbar.
Take Surveys
Swag Bucks just introduced surveys as a way to earn extra Swag Bucks. To find what surveys are available to you, visit Swagbucks.com and look for the Trusted Surveys option under Quick Links on the left side.
You will win 1 Swag Buck a day just for visiting the Survey page!
Submit a Poll to Swag Bucks
Swag Bucks has a weekly poll. If you submit a topic and they use it, they will reward you with bonus Swag Bucks! You will find the Polls on the left hand menu of SwagBucks.com.
You will win 1 Swag Buck a day for voting in the daily poll!
Complete Special Offers
Here’s how:
Look across the top of Swagbucks.com for the Ways to Earn option.
Select Special Offers from the drop down box.
Complete any that appeal to you. (I do not do any unless they’re free.)
Mega Swag Bucks Friday
Every Friday Swag Bucks offers a higher denomination of Swag Bucks to winners. Instead of the typical 10 – 30, you might win 50, 100 or more! Just by doing the searches you would do on a normal day!
Shop through Swag Bucks
Swag Bucks offers you bonus bucks when you go through their website to do your shopping.
Just go to SwagBucks.com and click on Ways to Earn at the top. Then click on Shop and follow the instructions.
Print your coupons through Swag Bucks
You will earn 10 Swag Bucks for every coupon that you print and redeem at your local grocery store. Keep in mind that it can take 8 to 12 weeks after you use the coupon for it to show up in your Swag Bucks account.
These coupons are identical to Coupons.com. If you print them on Swag Bucks, you won’t be able to print them there.
To know which coupons you printed from Swag Bucks, put a dot on the back of the coupon. That’s what I do!
Trade In Old Electronics
Swag Bucks has a trade in program for your used electronics. Just go to SwagBucks.com and click on Ways to Earn at the top. Then click on Trade In and follow the instructions. (I do not do this. If I chose to trade in, I would go through Amazon, Walmart or Targets program that gives higher amounts in gift cards.)
Earn 50 Swag Bucks on your birthday
All you need to do is make sure that your birthday is in your account details. To get there, click on the drop down box at the very top right corner of Swag Bucks (mine says Hi, Kristin) and select Account Details. You will then see the spot to put in your birth date.
Swag Bucks for Pictures and Videos
If you send them a picture of you with your prize or a video of you unboxing your prize, you get bonus Swag Bucks. You get 10 Swag Bucks for each prize photo and 20 swag Bucks for each video. You are limited to 5 of each type. Email it to prizephoto@swagbucks.com.
(Thanks Who Said Nothing In Life Is Free???)
Refer your friends
Swag Bucks has an awesome referral program. Refer your friends to Swag Bucks and when they win by searching, you win the same amount! (That means if your friend searches and wins 20 Swag Bucks, you will get 20 Swag Bucks too! You only win from their searches and there is a limit of 1000 Swag Bucks per referral. After they reach 1000 Swag Bucks, you will no longer receive credit.) There is no limit to how many friends you can refer.
To find your referral link, go to Swagbucks.com and click on promote and then select Invite Friends and Earn.
And the best part… Cashing in for prizes!
My absolute favorite prize is the Amazon.com gift card. They offer 3 different denominations ($5, $25 and $50. $5 is the best value, followed by $50 and then $25). You can get 5 of each a month. You are limited to only requesting 2 prizes a day, so to max out on Amazon gift card it takes 7.5 days.
Here’s how it works:
On Swagbucks.com home page, click on Rewards.
Then select Swag Store.
Then click on Rewards and Gift Cards.
Look for the Amazon.com gift cards.
Select the one you want and click redeem.
You will have to verify your purchase via email.
How to redeem your Amazon.com gift cards:
When you receive your gift card codes, here is how to add them to your Amazon.com account.
Go to Amazon.com.
Click on Your Account in the top right corner.
Look for Gift Cards located in the Payment box.
Select this option: Apply a Gift Certificate/Card to Your Account.
You will see a box that says “Want to redeem a new gift card?”
Enter the code that Swag Bucks gave you for the gift card and click Redeem Now.
That gift card is now stored in your account as a balance. You can store as many gift cards as you want, it just adds them to the balance.
When you check out, it automatically applies your gift card balance to your order. (You can select for it not to).
Here’s an example of how it would work. You select a $50 gift card from Swag Bucks. You receive the gift card and follow the above instructions to add it to your Amazon.com account. You decide to purchase an item that is $30. You go through check out and it applies $30 of your gift card balance. You now have $20 left on your gift card balance. It will automatically be used to pay for your next purchase. It’s that easy!

They don’t put swag codes in the newsletter anymore, and the gift cards come within 10-14 days of when you order them.
Thanks!!
They also started Swag TV. You have to keep it as your main page but I look at blogs & such with it running on another page. I just listen because most of its just picture clips. They also have a ton of rachel ray 30 minute meal episodes but they are shortened to 5-6 minutes because they dont have commercials. You earn a % each time you watch a video and when you earn 100% you earn 5 points. Its a great way to earn points while searching the web.
I once received 40 swagbucks for searching for Couponing to Disney!
Just wondering if anyone else feels like they are earning less Swagbucks for searching lately? Prior to the last few weeks, I could earn somewhere between 20 to thirty a day. (Sometimes more) Now I’m lucky to even get 20 in a day. Not complaining, just curios :)
yes! definitely….and the SBTV hasn’t become worth it now that it’s changed…I had to watch 19 videos to get 5 swagbucks…not worth it.
I never realized I could load my amazon codes in as I receive them. I get them as a reward from another site, and I am always afraid I am misplacing them. Thanks for the explanation!!! I learn so much here about how to save money
How much have you made in total from SB?
Newbie to SB here–Are you able to stack more than one Amazon gift card at check out? Let’s say I have 5 SB gift cards earned and saved, can I apply all 5 to my total or am I only allowed 1? Also, do the SB gift cards have an expiration date? If I earn a $5 Amazon gift card today, can I save it until October/November for Christmas shopping?
I usually store it in my Amazon account, I don’t believe they expire. You can use as many giftcards at checkout as you want! If you go to your account in Amazon, you will see that you can just enter your giftcards right there and they just stay stored and you are given the option to use them any time you check out.
Has anyone had Swagbucks added to their account after using the coupons printed from the site? Just curious if they do showup. Have used some since Christmas week so have a while to wait yet! :)
According to the SB website, it’s OK to share an account, but I think I have heard of people having their accounts cancelled for using multiple computers. Anyone have any experience with this?
I’ve started printing my coupons.com coupons from swagbucks too at http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-coupons … The site says that if you redeem a coupon at the store in 8 -12 weeks you get 10 swagbucks for each coupon printed and redeemed! I’m sure I print and redeem at least 10 – 20 a month so that could add up into Amazon giftcards pretty quick! Curious if this works or not (have only been doing it a week or two). How do they keep track of it, in the bar code somehow?
Hey Kristen, I don’t know if you knew this, but swagbucks also o
pays out through PayPal. So when you earn 450 sb, you can get 5 actual dollars. Which can go right into your fund. That way if you don’t really NEED anything through Amazon, you can just get your $5. Hope this helps!!!
PayPal also offers a free debit card. There is a $1 charge to withdrawl cash at an ATM, but it is still a great way to add “FREE” money to my fund :)
Okay, I know this is an old post… But I am having the most horrible time trying to refer friends. I was trying to link up through my Yahoo account where I have a good 100 contacts on my e-mail. But when I tried it says “You may not earn Swagbucks as you have no one to refer”… So I tried again, but this time with my Google. Still no luck, any way how to fix it or even what I’m doing wrong?
@Kristen I just created a SB account about a half hour ago from the link you provided in this post up there ^ i am hoping that it will help you but im not sure how all this works, or if that link you provided was a referral link or anything. if you find out how i can help you just let me know
am i missing out on a bunch of swag codes if i dont download the toolbar? i dont have my own computer so i wont download something to someone elses computer..
Interesting way to earn money!
Interesting. I’ve wondered what SwagBucks is all about. Thanks!
