If you are new to shopping at Rite Aid, be sure to read this tutorial.

How to use Rite Aid to “Coupon to Disney”:

  • Save on items that you normally buy. You can usually get free shampoo, conditioner, razors, toothbrushes, etc here. I also find that they have fairly cheap soda too.
  • After you have shopped here a few weeks, you will start to build up your Up Rewards. Rite Aid usually has 1 or 2 ‘money making’ deals a week. By using Up Rewards to pay for items, you essentially eliminate your out of pocket costs and get everything you buy at Rite Aid for ‘free’.
  • Rite Aid has monthly rebates called Single Check Rewards (SCR). Use Up Rewards to pay for the items that are eligible for the SCR. When the check comes from Rite Aid each month, deposit it into your fund!
  • Use your Up Rewards to pay for items that are eligible for rebates. When the check arrives, deposit it into your fund!
  • Use your Up Rewards to pay for items that you were going to pay cash for. Take the cash you were going to spend and deposit it into your fund!
  • Be sure to read the Getting Started Couponing to Disney guide!

Create your personal shopping list: Click on the box next to each item you would like to purchase and then click on the print list button at the bottom to print your own personal shopping list! All prices on this list are per item.

Visit Coupon Katarina for all the over $1 deals this week.

Graveyard Mall has their mystery box on sale today for $21.99 plus shipping (varies from $5.99 to $7). The box will be filled with kitchen gadgets like Silicon Bakeware, Nut choppers, spice grinders, cool salt and pepper shakers and other small gadgets. You will also get a Giant Pez Dispenser (might even be Mickey and it’s valued at $19.99).

If you don’t like your mystery box, you can return it at Graveyard Mall’s expense. I am going to order one and see what all it contains!

One of my readers recently purchased a mystery box and here’s what she had to say:

I ordered the $25 box from Graveyard Mall and here’s what I got:

  • Louisville Slugger Baseball Glove – $34 value
  • 2 drawstring backpacks – $10 value each
  • 2 sets of rechargeable AA batteries with a USB recharging dock – $14 value each
  • 2 planners (one large and leather) – $8 and $40 value
  • 1 Smart Lab Interactive book/game for kids on Health – $27 value
  • 1 Oklahoma Sooners jumbo checkers set – $18 value
  • 1 Baby Buddy pig pillow – $10 value
  • 1 Diagnostics blood pressure cuff – $18 value
  • Obey Your Body – 1 cream scrub and 1 body sorbet (lotion – body butter) – on their site the body scrub is $47.99 and the body butter is $53.
  • Be Fine Food Skin Care – 1 coconut Pore scrub and 1 Chocolate night cream – on their website the night cream is $30 and the pore scrub is $25
  • Coast Blue Spiral LED Lenser – $50 value

So, the total value of the box would be around $385. Now, I wouldn’t have purchased any of these items if someone handed me $385 to shop, but I would say I am not disappointed with what we received. I put most of the items up for Cmas gifts.

It is that time of the year again. Time to file your taxes and (hopefully) get a refund back. For the past 4 years, I have done my taxes at home. I got tired of paying the fees to H&R Block stores to do something that I could easily do myself. The online tax preparation software is really no different then sitting in their office while they read the questions to you. Plus you still get the same exact audit protection as if you went to the store.

Here are 2 services that I have used in the past. They both offer free Federal filing!

If you usually pay a fee to file your taxes, maybe this year you could take that fee and deposit it into your fund instead!

It is worth at least give it a try. I personally find it very easy to do my own taxes (and I even do them for my mother and mother in law).

*Note: I am not giving you tax advice, but merely expressing my opinion on what I have done in the past and what works for me.
