Welcome back on the Disney Wonder… I’m your Cruise Director Crazy Mom….

We’ve already had a lot going on so far, let’s not stop now… get changed and after dinner let’s meet on Deck for the Pirate of the Caribbean Party…… Disney is BIG on the Pirate of the Caribbean, and it’s just second nature that once we leave the Island we have a pirate invasion on the ship……

This is a party you don’t want to miss…. If you want to be up and close with the characters I would suggest someone in your group gets on Deck right after the last dinner seating and holds a place for you, if you rather be above it all on the sports deck, make sure someone heads up there and grabs some chairs to hold a space for you….

The Pirate invasion is a fun thing.. a little tip, bring your own Pirate gear and dress up for dinner with the Pirates… Disney used to provide head bandannas and stuff, they no longer do, but people still dress up and bring their own; you can buy dress up pirate stuff in the gift shop, too… but why buy if you know ahead of time that you will have a Pirate Party……J

Dinner is like a party, and you will hear Pirate music and your servers are dressed like Pirates and your menu will be presented on a old looking like treasure map…. It’s so cool…. And a lot of fun. Once dinner is over let the Pirates invade the ship…

Disney puts on a HUGE party on deck, all the characters come out dressed like Pirates and captain hook is trying to take over the ship… the kids play games on deck till the actual show begins… once captain hook invades the ship.. no fear.. Mickey is near.. all dressed in his Pirate outfit he’s slide down or should I say, he flies across the ship… it’s sooo soo cool. Keep your cameras rolling…. They put on a HUGE dance and sing show and full entertainment….. after the show… a Disney exclusive… there will be fireworks at sea…. We love the fireworks… it’s soo cool to see in the middle of the ocean, no ships no nothing around us and then we have fireworks… THE BEST….

But wait, there is more… after the pirate party, you have to eat again.. because all those calories that you tried to work off while dancing along at the pirate party need to come back on….:-) There will be a pirate Buffet and that is ohh sooo yummy.. they even offer Turkey Legs…!!! So make sure that night at Dinner to leave some room for all the delicious food that will be at the Pirate Party… little hint, you can take food to your room ( mhh thinking about the chocolate covered Strawberries or the turkey leg) That’s the only time you can eat ALL YOU want Turkey legs….!!!! They have lots of fruit, Tacos, Crepes with strawberries and whip cream and a lot of other stuff… it’s the coolest…. So check out some of our pirates and let’s me again for another Disney Cruise Story soon… Ahoy Mates….. Your Cruise Director Crazy Mom a/k/a Melanie

We got rid of our double stroller last year. My daughter is 6 and she was really too big for it and we never used it anyway. When we decided to go to Disney World in January, we felt like we needed to use a stroller for the trip. She had surgery in November and I didn’t want her to try to walk all day long.

If you have been to Disney, you know their double strollers are not only hard as rocks, hard to push and very uncomfortable if your child falls asleep in them, but they are also $31 a day! Over our 7 day trip that would of been $217!

So I decided to look around online for off site stroller rental companies. There are quite a few, but I decided to rent from Theme Park Strollers. Their double stroller was priced at just $120 and looked really comfortable. A double stroller for 1 week cost just $82! Wow! That is a huge difference.

Theme Park Strollers was so awesome to work with. I requested a stroller just 3 weeks before we left and they had one in stock. They even deliver to your hotel and have it waiting on you at luggage services. Which totally made me feel like a celebrity.

The stroller was so easy to fold up. Just pull up on the strap and it folds flat! It also has a nice size basket underneath to store all your goodies (remember not to leave anything valuable in the stroller, theifs go to Disney too!) and it is easy to push even when it weighs a ton.

In the mornings, we would find a stroller parking area that was manned by a Cast Member and we would leave our stroller for a few hours. My kids are energetic in the morning. By early afternoon, they both needed a breather in the stroller and it was great to have. Jacob fell asleep in it almost every day!

We will definitely rent an off site stroller when we go again. Theme Park Strollers really impressed me with their customer service and their love of Disney, but you can also find more companies by searching ‘stroller rental Orlando”.

I reached the pay screen on my Theme Park Strollers order before it dawned on me to see if they would let me have a free rental if I gave them advertising on the side of my blog. They kindly agreed. All opinions above are my own and I would seriously pay for a rental with this company when we go to Disney again. They did an amazing job.

About 4 years ago, I decided that I would invest in a pair of clippers to cut my husband’s hair. I picked up a set of Wahl clippers from Walmart for about $20 and it lasted us 4 years before my husband informed me that it needed to be replaced.

If you say he needs a haircut about every 6 weeks (that is 9 times a year) and each haircut costs $15…. I saved $480 by cutting his hair at home (well I have been cutting Jacob’s for 3 years, so that is another $405…).

I just picked up the Wahl 24 piece set for $26. I am now cutting my husband, my son and my nephew’s hair! That is 3 haircuts every 6 weeks. Let’s see how long these last.

If you haven’t tried cutting hair at home, it is a very easy to do. I suggest you pick up a set of clippers and cut their hair early in the morning on a day you don’t have any plans. That way if you mess it up, they can run to the barber shop. Hehe.
