March 2011

You can pick up FREE Tweezers at Walgreens this week with the following coupons:

Revlon Slant Tweezers — $2.49
Use $2 Revlon Beauty Tool printable (it is a manufacture coupon but it is on Target’s site)
Plus use $1/1 Walgreens store coupon from the April booklet (found in stores by the ads)
Total: 51c in overage

Note: The best way to do this is to give your $2 coupon first and then give your Walgreens coupon. You will need to have something else in your order that costs 52c or more out of pocket to ‘absorb’ the overage.

Plus some people are getting a $2 coupon at checkout!

(Thanks Common Sense with Money!)

If your Walmart or Target ad matches Big Lots ads, you can get FREE Finish Quantumatic. You will need to have the Big Lots ad in hand (remember Big Lots does not accept coupons).

Finish Quantumatic — $3 (at Big Lots)
Use $3 printable
Total: FREE!

Zulily has the absolute cutest Disney socks on sale today starting at just $3.99. It looks like they range in size from 0 – 4t. I am bummed because they won’t fit my kids, but I thought they were about the cutest socks I have ever seen!

Amazon has the Horizon Organic Low Fat Milk 8 oz carton (pack of 18) on sale for just $14.50 when you select Subscribe and Save at checkout (I always go with the 6 month option.) That works out to just 78c a carton which is less than what they sell for at Walmart and Target!

New to Subscribe and Save? Amazon often offers discounts if you sign up to receive auto shipments (which can be canceled at anytime). I often select that I want to receive the item every 6 months and once I receive it, I go to “My Account” and click on “Manage Subscribe and Save” to cancel it. Don’t forget!

Don’t forget you can sign up for Amazon Mom or Amazon Student for FREE and get free 2 day shipping on ANY purchase.

I have so much fun interacting with all my fans friends on Facebook. We share tips, tricks, shopping trips and more. I’d love to be able to share all these wonderful ideas with even more people and I need your help to do it and of course I am going to reward you for helping the fan page GROW!

Here’s how to enter:

  • Head over to the Couponing to Disney Facebook page
  • Look on the far left hand side for the Suggest This link
  • By step 1, click I Am A Fan
  • By step 2, click Suggest To Friends
  • You have 2 options – You can either post it straight to your Facebook Stream or you can send invites to select friends (just click on the Send Couponing to Disney Invitation at the bottom)
  • And that’s it!

The program tracks how many people accept your invitation. You are welcome to send as many invitations as you want and post it to your stream as many times as you want during the contest.

Here’s what you win:

Each time someone accepts your invitation (that means they like Couponing to Disney), your name is entered into a drawing (how many times your name is entered is unlimited and you can win multiple prizes). At the end of the contest, all names will be entered into a hat and I will draw 5 random people to win!

The first person whose name comes out of the hat will win their choice of the following items:

2nd & 3rd name out of the hat:

$10 gift card to Amazon

4th and 5th name out of the hat:

Envelope of Mystery Coupons (including some frees!)

The grand prize

And to take it a step further…. the person who refers the MOST people to Couponing to Disney (who accept the invitation and like Couponing to Disney on Facebook)  is going to win an Amazon Kindle (or $140 to spend on anything they want on Amazon!)

And I need you to do one more thing for me. Facebook rules prohibit me from contacting you on Facebook if you win. If you use the Gro Social app to share Couponing to Disney, please include both your Facebook name and your email address in the form below so I can contact you if you win!

This contest will end when we reach 25,000 fans on Facebook. This contest is being sponsored by Couponing to Disney using the Gro Social app on Facebook. All prizes are being provided by Couponing to Disney and is not sponsored by Amazon or Disney.

Amazon has the Live Butterfly Garden on sale for $11.99. You will have to mail off for your caterpillars and pay a $3 processing fee. Which isn’t bad really since you will get 5 future butterflies.

Your kids will get the watch the caterpillars metamorphosis from larva to butterfly which takes about three weeks. I did this in the 4th grade and will always remember how much fun release date was.

Don’t forget you can sign up for Amazon Mom or Amazon Student for FREE and get free 2 day shipping on ANY purchase.

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend however they choose!

How can this help you “Coupon to Disney?”

  • Take a look at your current dining out budget. How much did you spend last month going out to eat? That is money that could of gone into your fund instead! Try cutting your out to eat costs this month and adding the difference to your fund.
  • Set a weekly dining out budget, if you resist going out to eat, add that amount to your fund instead.
  • If you were seriously about to go out to eat (like had your coat on and was going out the door or pulled into the drive thru and then pulled back out), add the amount you would of spent to your fund.
  • Going out to eat and using a coupon or paying with a gift card? You could add that amount to your fund too. For example… if you had a $25 gift card to Cracker Barrel and you used it, you could take $25 cash out of your budget and add it to the fund. Or if you used a $10 coupon, you could take $10 cash out of the budget and add it to the fund.
  • Be sure to read my Couponing to Disney training series.

The rules:

  • You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
  • You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the cash.
  • The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
  • You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
  • Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
  • Be sure to check out our list of casserole recipes here and the crock pot recipes here and the under 6 ingredient recipes here.

My update:

Let’s see… I wanted to go out for lunch yesterday but didn’t. And then I wanted to go out for dinner last night, but didn’t. Yay! More money in my budget for Disney World!

How are you doing?

I am going to be honest. Being overweight and vacationing at Disney is not always easy. On the last trip my feet hurt so bad that I would cry over the pain. If I had been 50 – 75 pounds lighter, if I had walked more at home, it would of been easier. The average person walks 8-10 miles at Disney. That is a LOT of walking especially when you aren’t physically used to it.

So, it’s time to change all that. And I can’t do it alone. I need the help of my AMAZING Couponing to Disney readers. It doesn’t matter if you have 5 pounds or 50 pounds or 100 plus pounds to lose. Everyone is welcome to post on this thread. At the end of each month, I will pick one awesome reader who commented on at least 10 posts to win $50 via Paypal to add to their fund!

My progress:

Yesterday was a great day. I went to the gym in the morning and then I walked for 20 minutes last night. I made one mistake yesterday though. Weight Watchers wants you to have 2 servings of healthy oils a day. I decided to cook onions for lunch and I poured in a tablespoon of olive oil. After I ate them, I realized it was suppose to be a teaspoon! Oooooops.

I am already starting to feel the weight loss. Which is totally awesome. And I have been Diet Coke free for 4 full days now and the headaches are getting a lot better. Yay!

How are you doing?
