Check with your local grocery store to find out if they have a kid’s club. You can ask at the service desk. Also be sure to ask them if they give the kids anything when they are in the stores (like a cookie from the bakery) and if they provide mini shopping carts for the kids.
My kids love going to Publix because the Bakery gives them a cookie, the deli gives them a chicken strip and the florist gives them a balloon. And if that isn’t enough, the get a coloring book and crayons when we pay.
What does your store offer?

We have one local grocery store (KC area Price Chopper) that has a e-mail club that sends each child in the house a coupon for 1 free product each month (DD loves “her” coupons with “her” name on them). The other store down the street (Hy-Vee) offers a free slice of deli cheese, a cookie, and a free pony ride. Our Super Target has cookies set out in the bakery for the kids.

Associated Food Stores here in Utah give the balloons, cookies and they have a kids club that sends monthly magazines to your home filled with activity pages and stories for kids. On their birthday they send something, I can’t remember what, as well.

We Love publix too!! We get coloring books & cookies every time we are in! however, Our store doesn’t have crayons! I was not aware about the deli & floral Dept. That’s pretty neat! We have a fairly Small publix and I’ve never seen anyone “working” in Floral so It might be upon request ;) However I do plan to be in there tomorrow and I’ll check on those! Thanks for the tips! :)
