Saving money….. now there’s a topic we all love. Most of you are reading my blog because you want to save more money. We save at the grocery store, we save at the drug store, but there are lots of ways we could be saving and stretching our dollar and Couponing to Disney……
This tip come from my reader Stacy…
I try to find ways to repurpose as well. As a teacher/librarian, I make many copies of coloring pages to go with the books I read the younger grades in library story time. Sometimes there are extra copies that don’t get used. Instead of throwing them away, I use the backs of them to print my online coupons on! I also look for extra “throw away” papers in the office to us as well. Recycling is fun, especially when I’m saving money in two ways!

I always use the other side of my paper -especially to print recipes- if they are printed on.Why not-the other side is clear?! It’s such a waste of a taxable item not to.I use the other printed on paper for scrap paper (ie. notes),& keep it right next to my Desktop in the computer /craft room. That way it’s handy when I need it to jot down websites, numbers, etc.

Our copy repairman at work told us that reusing paper could cause problems for the machine….I have no idea if it’s true but I thought I would mention…

When I have one that only prints one coupon and their ad on the bottom I then just turn it over and print another coupon on the back at the bottom so at least I get two coupons off one paper

Another thing — print in draft mode. I was a bit concerned at first with doing this with coupons, but at least with my computer and printer, the draft mode is still good enough to scan. It’s at least worth a try, if you’re worried it won’t work.

I almost NEVER get paper of any kind from the supply cabinet at work. I think I did it once or twice when I first joined 11 years ago, but it’s been a long time. It doesn’t matter whether I’m just scribbling notes to myself or writing a note to my manager — the recycle bin always has plenty of usable paper! And I ALWAYS print double-sided (which somewhat reduces the re-usability of the paper, but you always have documents with an odd number of pages and the like that you can re-use).

I’ve had problems with coupons not scanning because there is something on the other side. Just a warning.

I use the rest of the paper with printed coupons for my kids to draw on or for lists.

I teach & there is always one or two pages left from pfa flyers, notes home, homework, etc. I love knowing that I’m saving money & not throwing away so much paper! :)

…I am a list maker, when I have a section of a page left over….I usually cut them and stick them in my list making pile….usually about the third of a page left from printing coupons is just about “my” size….

I always reuse paper but it’s a bummer that some coupons only print one on a sheet of paper. After you cut them off, it’s a pain to try to put that same paper in because now the size is not the same. Maybe I can try to rotate that same page so another coupon prints on the bottom of it. Hmmm…

After cutting those single coupons, I use the rest of the page for my hand written grocery list. I also use the back of expired printed coupons that I did not redeem as scrap paper. Just put an x on the Q side so I remember that it is not a valid one.
