Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of the Chip & Company Week in Review! There has been a lot going on this week, so while I hope you have been able to read all of our great news stories, I certainly understand if you missed some of them – I know I did! Take a look at some of these articles, and click on those you missed!
- Starting us off, Aljon over at Sorcerer Radio had an interview with Constance Marie, the star of the ABC Family show “Switched at Birth”.
- The D23 Expo is coming up soon, and many of the Chip & Company writers will be there! One of the news stories this week about D23 is the news that Disney stars are going to meet fans every day of D23! Check out the article for the full schedule!
- In sad Disney news, we learned last week of the passing of Stanley Richard Moore, better known as Ranger Stan. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are sent to his family.
- Ranger Stan’s passing came the day after we learned about the passing of Jennings Osborne, the man behind the awesome festival “Disney’s Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights”. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are also being sent to his family during their time of grief.
- How many, like me, can’t wait for Thanksgiving and the release of the movie “The Muppets”? I know I’m excited, and the other day we saw a new movie poster. So, how many Muppets do you see?
- Are you going to go to the Food & Wine Festival? My family is planning a quick weekend trip, so I’m glad this article came out. Here’s more information about the Food & Wine Festival.
- News came to us the other day that the Osceola County Sheriffs had arrested 10 people on charges of reselling Disney tickets. This story reminds us that you get what you pay for, so if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- Scary news out of Cinderella Castle the other day – there was a small fire on one of the spires! Great job by the safety crews in taking care of this quickly!
- Did you see that the house that Walt Disney built is on the market? Oh how I would love to buy that house!
- Lastly, we learned that the ESPN The Weekend events that were held every year has been cancelled. The reason for this is simple – because Disney already has a huge relationship with ESPN such that they do things year round now.
But remember, Chip & Company isn’t just news stories, check out our great writers and their original articles! Here is just a small sampling for you to enjoy for the first time, or relive once again!
- In our “Around the ‘Disney’ World” series, Ken wrote to us about the pavilion in France! I hope you enjoyed it, but if you missed it, check it out!
- Do you love Disney food? If so, then you have probably had your mouth watering during our “Disney Food Confession” series! Chip wrote about one of his favorites – the Mickey Mouse Waffle!
- Is there anything at Walt Disney that you would consider a waste of time? Lee has some on his personal list, and he shared them with you in his Top 5 Time Wasters at Disney World. What are your thoughts?
Thank you everyone for reading Chip & Company! Also, thanks to all of you that helped us to successfully reach our goal of 5000 Facebook Fans! I heard a rumor that Chip is having a special contest for that this week, so look for details if they aren’t out already! Have a great week!
