Have you ever walked in on your friends speaking in hushed whispers only to have them suddenly become quiet when they notice you’re in the room? Are you the subject of concerned glances? Is it possible you may be addicted to Disney? Here are a few signs:
10) During Thanksgiving dinner with your extended family you debated the merits of the 90 day vs. the 180 day Disney dining reservation policy . . . with yourself.
9) You were once banned for 30 days from a well-known Disney website for your participation in a heated debate that got ugly. The subject: Pool hopping.
8) You have been known to go to the local Disney store for a Disney fix.
7) You know that a stroller swap has nothing to do with upgrading your beat-up Graco with that nice Bugaboo left parked and unattended in the stroller parking area outside of Mickey’s Philharmagic.
8) When you say you’re going to France, people are actually shocked that you mean the actual country, not the pavilion.
5) You know what Mousefest is and you know that it’s been cancelled again this year.
4) You have rationalized buying a Disney Timeshare to your spouse as “an investment in our future vacations.”
3) You have been known to wear Mickey Crocs. Without shame. And sometimes, with socks.
2) You see Hidden Mickey’s everywhere, even outside of Disney. Because they are everywhere!!
1) You can translate the following sentence: Is it possible to park at the CR when you have an ADR at CG and then attend MVMCP at the MK or do I have to park at the TTC and take the RM? (click here for more Disney Acronyms)
Yes to three or less–Your addiction is under control. Though you know more about Disney than the average person, it’s a good bet that Sunday breakfast at your house doesn’t included Mickey Mouse Waffles. Yet.
Yes to four to seven–You are entering borderline fanatic territory. You go to Disney so often that Disney will never give you a pin code for a reduced room rate because they know you’re coming back anyway. You own the highly coveted Mickey Waffle iron which you use to recreate the Chef Mickey‘s experience at home by inviting the unruly neighbor kids over for breakfast. Your children think it’s possible to walk from Canada to Morocco in a matter of minutes, stopping along the way for a pretzel in Germany.
Yes to more than seven–If loving Disney World is wrong, you don’t wanna be right–and you’re not. You recently bought DVC by cashing in your retirement account. At least one of your children is named Ariel. You know that “Mongello” is both a greeting and something you say when you can’t get a reservation at Le Cellier even though you called at 180-days out.

I can translate #1, I am a fanatic! I can’t wait for our next trip WDW to MVMCP. We have stayed at GF and the Poly. Want to try WL. AK was our last and it was fab but the monorail is the best.
Don’t be so fast to want to stay at a monorail resort, they are going to stop running one hour after closing :(.
I love it! We just got back from Disney (hence the new blog!) and I’m seeing hidden Mickeys everywhere!
Getting a pretzel in Germany while walking from Canada to Morocco means you are going the long way around the World (Showcase). But other than that, pretty good article.
Ugh I can’t figure out what TTC means!!! Other than that I got 5 of them
TTC – Ticket and Transportation Center. You know that place next to the MK parking lot where you get your tickets, get on the monorail or ferry to go to the MK, or transfer by monorail to Epcot? This is the place.
I totally have mickey crocks – neon pink mind you – are are proud to wear them!! AND I got them at Ollies for $3 :-) WOOT!!!
There are at least 4 mickey waffle makers in my family. My uncle bought them for everyone for christmas one year.
Oh, this is too funny. Right now I am wearing my Mickey crocs with socks. They are so comfortable. I also see hidden mickeys everywhere (and so do my kids). I tried to make mickey-shaped scrambled eggs when we got back from our last trip. I would LOVE to have a timeshare in Disney.
Need to add one – you’re seriously considering/looking into moving to the Orlando/Kissimmee area just to be near WDW!
oh am glad someone else is also…….
BUSTED!
I’m a teacher and I’ve caught myself using the “Disney Point” at school. You know how CM (Cast Members) use two fingers to point you into a direction as opposed to pointing with one? That’s the Disney Point. : )
Lol! I know exactly what you’re talking about!
I’m really disappointed that those Crocs are only available in kids sizes. Why can’t they have the fun colors in my size? Instead I have to wear my black & red ones.
they have the croc flip flops in other colors for adults and they are sooo comfortable, I am wearing them right now.
You know you AND your family have a Disney addiction whenever you make French Toast at home, your children comment, “Mommy, why didn’t you make Tonga Toast?” — the most amazing breakfast at the Polynesian.
I can add one:
You have looked up info on the college program at WDW, and your child is still in elementary school. ;)
Well, I got 2… Guess I’m not a fanatic,oh well.
OMGoodness…. I think someone is watching me and writing this! I not only have one pair of Mickey Crocs, I have two! I can relate to almost all of them…. I haven’t gotten banned from the website, but I did get a warning! LOL
When you wake up excited in the morning and its the first day you can make adr’s (180 days) and its only 4 30 am eastern time.
This was so me In February! We leave for WDW 5 weeks form today!
This was so me in February!!! 5 weeks and counting to our trip!
Guilty! Exactly the reason why I’m Disney-specialized TA now!
Guilty. I’m finally going to give in on upcoming trip and buy my Mickey crocs. I have Mickey kitchen utensils all through my kitchen, 3 DVC ownerships, 2 sons that have looked into the college program, 2 kids that are in middle school that will look into the college program when they are old enough, and counting down for my 2nd of 3 trips this year! I have the wait time app on my phone, and the kids and I are always looking to see how long the wait times are at the parks!! We live in Texas!!
Don’t forget the mug debate… ;) Not that it’s an internal issue for me. I have never gotten one.
How about #11 – You’re reading this article. And you’ve read about 10 other Disney articles already this evening.
