Disney World Training: Water Park Ticket Options

In addition to the 4 major theme parks, Disney World also has 2 different water parks. Unfortunately if you are planning on visiting either or both water parks, admission is not included in your park ticket. You will need to add the Water Park Fun & More Option for $55 per ticket. This will give you admission to the two fabulous Water Parks, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sport; Complex or a round of golf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course. You will get equal admission, meaning if you have a 4 day park ticket with the Water Park Fun & More option, you have 4 admissions to the Water Parks & More and 4 day admission to the Theme Parks for a total of 8 days of fun!

Keep in mind that the Water Parks & More option is not a park hopper ticket. If you use admission in the morning at Blizzard Beach and want to go to Disney Quest that evening, you will have used 2 separate admissions.

If you are only planning on visiting one water park for one day and you have children*, it is a little bit cheaper to buy a single day admission to the water park. One day adult admission is $52.19 and children’s admission (ages 3-9) is $43.67. A family with 2 kids would pay $191.72 for their one day tickets as opposed to paying $220 for the Water Parks Fun & More option. That’s almost a $30 savings! I only suggest you do this if you are absolutely certain you won’t be able to visit the water parks more than one day.

*The difference between adult one day tickets and the Water Park Fun & More option is only $3 per ticket. However the difference between the children’s one day ticket and the Water Parks Fun & More option is $12 per ticket.

Really?! I had no idea that is how it worked! I am purchasing tickets for my family in a couple days and we were debating wether or not to add the water park option because we didn’t want to loose a day at the parks… but you are saying if we buy 5 day park hoppers with the water park option, we get 5 days park and 5 waterpark, for a total of 10 days?!! That is crazy!! I’m scared that it won’t work its such a good deal Are you sure?

yes thats right. You get 5 entrances in any configuration. Can use 1 a day or a few on another day. Just that many separate admissions.

Let me explain…you can go to the water parks on the same day you go to a theme park, you would use one days admission to the theme park and one water park fun and more option. The water park fun and more option is not a park hopper. This means if you go to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning and DisneyQuest at night, you’ve used two admissions on you water park fun and more option. You can use this option any way you’d like, but every time you go through a turnstile at one of the “options” it’s a separate admission. This is completely different from your regular park ticket. I know it’s useful to get some advanced information about things like this, but please speak with a Disney hotel concierge or theme park ticket window if you have any questions! I am a hotel concierge and I hear from so many guests that have been confused or gotten misinformation from a non-Disney website. Before you make a decision that costs hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of dollars, speak with a Disney cast member!

So if I purchase the 3 day with the water park & more option, I can go to disney one day, then epcot another day and go to a water park another day. Like the water park does not need to be combined with a theme park. Correct?

Yes, that is correct! And you would still have 1 day in the theme parks and 2 visits of water park & more. (according to the example you gave above)
