If you are considering the Disney World Dining options, The Wave at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort is an excellent choice.
Tidbit: Even though this restaurant is located at a resort, anyone can eat here. If you are driving, just let the gate keeper know you have a dining reservation and he will let you park. If you are taking Disney transportation, you will need to take a bus from your resort to a park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the bus for the resort where the meal is located.

ok, so here’s my thoughts on the wave
We ate here out first night this past summer. We were seated quickly with our party of 11. Our server, Ali, was very nice and on top of things. We usually don’t order appetizers but some members of my party did and they were raving about the scallops. I ordered the beef tenderloin and my husband ordered the flat iron steak, now I believe his was more tender than mine, BUT my potatoes were awesome and I ate everything on my plate! For dessert I ordered the creamy indulgence which was just ok, I know many rave about it, but it was just alright. We ended up sitting there for 2 hours though which we though was crazy for a meal without characters, but I guess b/c we are a large party and we had appetizers and what not. I would do this one again.

Again a second hand review from my sister, sorry! As the training ground for servers and cooks alike this is the place you can go where your server will probably be over attentive and you can enjoy having expensive ingredient filled food without breaking the bank. The atmosphere was dark but fun with that lounge feel. The food was good and the deserts delish. My sister was shocked to find they use the expensive melt in your mouth cooking chocolate from France that they use at her cooking school, and that the deserts didn’t even cover the cost of the chocolate!

The wave is wonderfully decorated. In their waiting area, the light is blue and makes you feel like you are under water. The food is good. We had the apple brined tenderloin and the flank steak. Both were delicious! I forget the appetizers- which means they were not wonderful and not horrible. For dessert we had a special dessert that was only offered for the what will you celebrate year. My only complaint- I had an ice wine and dh had port with dessert- my ice wine was at the end- meaning almost bad, still drinkable but not at the quality I expect from Disney. (I would drink it at that point in my home- but was disappointed to have it served to me at Disney). We mentioned it to our server- who was FANTASTIC- saying we didnt want it taken off the bill but that it should be dumped (or drank by the staff ;)) and not served. At the time- my dh was a wine steward and so we were drinking lots of wine all the time making it noticable to us.
