Round up of the Cars 2 coupons, rebates and deals

in Posts

Cars 2 was released on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, November 1st. There are a ton of great deals available, so I thought I would put them together for you in one post.

Coupon

Go here to print a coupon for $5 off the Cars 2 Blu-ray/DVD 5 disc combo pack. There are 3 different version of the Cars 2 movie. There is the DVD, the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and the  5 disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. Unfortunately this $5 coupon is only for the most expensive version.

You can also find a coupon for $5 off the Cars2 DVD on the back of specialty marked Kelloggs Fruit Snacks. This is great if you just want the DVD and not the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.

Rebates

The back of the Cars 2 DVD and Blu-ray combo pack are 2 different proof of purchase tabs. Each of the below rebates requires one of those tabs and a photocopy of the receipt. Because of this, you can submit 2 of the rebates!

Deals

Target is offering a FREE light up case when you buy the Cars 2 5-disc combo pack for $29.99 before the $5 coupon.
Update: I am hearing that it did not have the proof of purchase tabs on it and all other versions of the Cars 2 movies did. Please call Target at 1-800-440-0680 and let them know about the issue with the missing Proof of Purchase tabs at Target. They will send it to the merchandising department to check what can be done. Please call and report it.

Toys R Us is offering a FREE Cars 2 Wall Clock when you buy any Cars 2 movie. Plus if you buy the Blu-ray combo pack, it comes with a Lego feature disc. The 5 disc combo that the coupon is good for is $34.99 before the coupon. The DVD is $19.99.

Also if you buy $40 worth of Disney movies, you will get a $10 gift card. This includes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Space Adventure for $15.99, Phineas and Ferb Christmas for $15.99< Mater’s Tall Tales for $17.99 or many other movies for $19.99.

Here’s the deal:

Buy Cars 2 5 disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack for $34.99
Buy Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Space Adventure for $15.99
Get a FREE Cars 2 Wall Clock
Use the $5 coupon
Pay $45.98 and get a $10 gift card
Total: $35.98

They also are offering  a pack of Cars holiday vehicles when you spend $40 or more on Cars products. You could buy the Cars and Cars 2 movies and get the cars for FREE and possibly receive the $10 gift card too. Just thinking about that makes my head spin. If it works for anyone, let us know!

Best Buy is offering Cars2 5 disc combo pack for $24.99 before the $5 coupon. You could always take the Best Buy ad to Target or Walmart and price match it!

Walgreens has the Cars 2 DVD on sale for $17.99 and the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack for $25.99. It doesn’t look like it’s the 5 disc that the coupon is good on though. But if you are just planning on buying the DVD, this is the place to do it. You get a FREE Cars 2 Color Wonder set when you buy the DVD. That’s 2 gifts for the price of one! Plus if you are lucky enough to find the Cars 2 coupon on the back of the Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks, you’ll pay just $12.99.

CVS also has the Cars 2 DVD for $17.99. If you have Extra Care Bucks, you can use them to pay for it!

Safeway stores and their affiliates have the Cars 2 on DVD for $16.99 or the DVD/Blu-ray Combo for $24.99 plus you’ll get the following items FREE w/purchase:

  • Special K Crackers
  • Dasani water, 8pk
  • Jolly Time popcorn, 3pk
  • Cars 2 plate, Bottle, OR Bowl

If you know of any other deals that I missed, please leave a comment and let me know!

(Thanks Thirteen and Frugal for the Cars 2 Toys R Us info and The Frugal Find for the Safeway info!)

Not necessarily cheaper, but Walgreens has the DVD/Blu Ray combo pack for $25.99, you can use the $5 coupon, and they are offering a free Cars 2 Crayola Color Wonder set ($9.99 value) I’m putting this back for a Christmas gift! (Walgreens can also print rebate receipts if you tell them before the transaction begins)

I believe the coupon is only good for the 5 disc set so it wouldn’t work on this or the Walmart digital copy version.

I was able to use the $5 coupon on the Blu-ray/ DVD combo, not the 5 disk combo pack. Plus I got the Crayola Wonder pack for free.

Our local Giant Eagle has the cars 2 blue ray/dvd combo pack for 24.99 when you use your advantage card plus $5 off your next shopping trip! Also use the $5 coupon and it is a great deal. Pay 19.99 and get $5 back makes the combo pack $14.99.

Reply

5 Crystal October 31, 2011 at 10:11 pm

I am buying it at Giant Eagle as well, only I am getting just the DVD, which I believe is $17.99. I have the $5 coupon from the fruit snacks and then I’ll get the $5 off my next shopping trip coupon when I purchase. After the Johnson & Johnson and Kimberly Clark rebates, this will be a money maker!

The $5 coupon from Disney Movie Rewards is only for 5 disc combo- not the blu-ray/DVD. I’m getting it at Giant Eagle too- $5 for my groceries is great! The $24.99 would count towards the FuelPerks too.

Reply

The DMR coupon is only for the 5 disc combo- so it won’t work on the blu-ray/DVD set. I’m doing that deal though- $5 off my next grocery trip -yeah- and the $24.99 counts towards my FuelPerks!

CVS (in SC) has the Cars 2 DVD on sale for $17.99. Use the $5.00 of coupon from the back of the Kellogg’s fruit snacks & pay $12.99!

Wal-Mart’s ad says Cars 2 Blu-ray with digital copy $24.96 — wouldn’t that be the one you could use the coupon for??

can someone tell me if the $10 and $20 purchase amount must be reached before or after coupons. Thanks!

Reply

11 keisha November 1, 2011 at 8:28 am

if you are talking about cvs, give them the coupon for the amount off before your other coupons.

Reply

12 Meredith November 1, 2011 at 9:39 am

I mean for the 2 rebates. The fine print doesn’t say if the amount needs to be reached before or after coupons.

I called Kimberly-Clark with that same question and they gave me a Disney phone number. (Disney is sponsoring the Johnson & Johnson rebate as well.) I called and… they don’t answer the phone… I got a voicemail greeting. I left a detailed message, so hopefully they’ll call back soon. Here’s the Disney phone number: 1-888-278-6011.

I finally heard back from them. The $20 for Kimberly-Clark and the $10 for Johnson & Johnson is BEFORE coupons, yay!

There is also a Target $5 coupon from their website for the BluRay for $5 off – you can stack with the Disney Rewards one for a total of $10 off!

where did you find the target coupon on their website?

Anna, can you post a link to the target coupon. Thanks

Reply

19 Bonnie October 30, 2011 at 6:23 pm

I put the link in that was posted in the Target and it takes you first to a target website, but then to the Disney Rewards website. So it’s the same coupon–you can’t stack them :(

With the Toys R Us deal, if I were to buy the Cars2 combo pack plus the first Cars DVD movie would I be able to get the free clock, the $10.00 gift card and also the free holiday vehicles 2 pack with any Cars purchase of $40.00 or more (it’s on page 58 of “the great big toys r us book?” I have looked that “book” over and over again to see if it says there is a limited to the amount of promotions you can get per purchase and I just can’t see anything.

I just tried to buy the Cars and Cars 2 DVD’s (which added the clock) plus 2 of teh $0.98 Cars Headsets to meet the $40 price point, and when it met the $40, it added the 2pk cars, but deleted the clock and a message says “only one free item per order” :(

I also read somewhere else that there was an insert (I did not get one in our Dallas Morning News :( in their 10/30SS for a $5 GC when you buy $25 worth of Kimberly Clark products. here is a picture of the insert
http://www.whosaidnothinginlifeisfree.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/gift-card-coupon.jpg

If you take that and then roll it into your Cars 2 Purchase, then submit what you bought for the KC Rebate, then it makes for a great deal…and a MM if you do all the rebates plus Disney coupon! :-)

The Rayovac rebate says you need to purchase TWO packs of batteries and the COMBO pack dvd/blueray.

Reply

43 Khara November 4, 2011 at 12:59 pm

Their wording is weird… not a good rebate form. You need to buy just one package of batteries, of which that could be the AA or AAA 10-pack, C or D 4-pack, or 9-volt 2-pack package. Hope this helps!

44 Nancy Young November 1, 2011 at 10:23 am

Rite Aid has the DVD for $19.99 with $5.00 plus up to use on next purchase, making it $14.99.

Reply

45 Renee November 1, 2011 at 12:19 pm

I haven’t done this yet, but am going to try:
Price match Best Buy $24.99 price at Target, use $5 Disney coupon, use $5 gift card for purchasing $25 in KC products and then submit the KC $10 rebate and $10 Johnson and Johnson rebate. Plus I have another $10 Target gift card to use, so I will be paying $4.99 out of pocket and getting $20 back in rebates. Sounds too good to be true, so we’ll see how it works out.

I went to Target. DVD $15.99 plus Kellog’s fruit snacks $2.04 minus $5 coupon plus tax Total $14.37

I’ve never done more than one rebate before, but I read the fine print on all three and the Kimberly Clark and the J&J want proof of purchase tabs OR UPC code and the Rayovac wants a UPC code. Since there are 2 tabs AND a UPC code, couldn’t you do all three rebates??

(Also, be careful with the Rayovac rebate. The wording is a bit hairy and they don’t give the indication that multiple receipts are okay. Just to be safe, I’m going to make sure I buy the Blu-Ray and the batteries at the same time.)

I just bought Cars 2 and Winnie the Pooh at Toys R Us, and got the clock AND the $10.00 gift card! I’m feeling pretty good about that! Paid $59 and change. So basically $49. for all of that.

Reply

53 Rebekah November 1, 2011 at 2:22 pm

I bought the 5-disc set today at Best Buy for 19.99 (+tax). They have it on sale for 24.99 and you can use the $5 coupon on it. I tried to use the $5 coupon from the fruit snacks on it but they told me I could only use one since they were both manufacturer’s coupons. I didn’t get any bonus items for free but I’m pretty happy with paying $20 for the 5 disc set!

Reply

54 stacey November 1, 2011 at 2:35 pm

Not sure if you can use the Best Buy flyer to price match at Target for the 5 disc set. The reason I say this is because the packaging is different due to the light up packaging on the set at Target. I’ve tried price matching an item that had somewhat different packaging at Target and they wouldnt price match it…I’ll probably try to price match anyway since it wouldnt hurt to try right?

Reply

55 Elizabeth November 1, 2011 at 3:59 pm

They sent all of my nearby stores 5 wall clocks each. So you won’t be getting a wall clock at Toys R Us probably. If that is the only reason you are going to Toys R Us you might want to call.

Reply

56 Stephanie November 1, 2011 at 4:34 pm

I tried to do the TRU deal with a price match from Best Buy. They would price match but then I wouldn’t be able to get the promo’s of the free clock and gift card. So I just went with their sale. Bought the 3D Bluray combo ($35) Sarpay’s Fabulous Adv ($15) used my $5 coupon and got a $10 Gift card and Wall Clock for free. Spent $45 out of pocket. Will be doing both of the $10 rebates which brings my cost to $15 with the gift card :)

I was able to price match the best buy deal at Target for the 5-disc collectible set with light up case. With the 5$ off DIsney coupon and 5% Target gift card from my KC purchase yesterday! I was so excited!! But then I got home, opened up the package to find there are no proof of purchase tabs b/c the discs are in the case, not a box. I am hoping at least one of the rebates will except the UPC code. Anyone know if there is anyone I can contact to get both rebates??

I just went to CVS and did the travel size Aveeno transaction (paid $3 and got $7 ECB back). Cars 2 dvd was priced 17.99. I used the ECB (drops to 10.99) and $5 coupon (from Kellogg’s fruit snacks drops to 5.99 + $3 for the lotion). $8.99 out of pocket. Then I will submit for the Kimberly Clark $10 rebate so it was FREE! Amazing! Not to mention I got two lotions out of it and will probably do the J&J band-aid rebate.

Reply

62 Sarah November 2, 2011 at 10:04 pm

The J&J Rebate says it is for the Blu-ray or DVD COMBO pack, so if you buy just the DVD I do not think it will work…if anyone finds out differently, let us know!

I called Target about the missing proof of purchase. They sent me to Disney who game me the phone number and email address for the rebate center (Budco) to ask them what they will accept: 888-278-6011 or bdhecustomerservice@budco.com. I haven’t gotten any futher. Pretty disappointed about the purchase there.

Just stopped at Giant Eagle this morning. They have the large 30oz.Kellogg’s cereal on sale for 2 for 8 dollars. I used a dollar off of two Kellogg’s cereal coupon and purchased two boxes of Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats. The best part is there is a 5 dollar off coupon on the back of each box for several different disney’s movies including Cars2. So I spent 7 dollars and got coupons for 10 dollars off some great movies.

DISNEY STORE:
did anyone have problems trying to pre-order CARS2 5 disc and use the $5.00 coupon?? I tried on 10/31 and the employees denied my $5.00 coupon, saying you can’t use it on a preorder since they give you store coupons $10/10 & $20/40 for preordering. But I swear that I used them in the past to buy movies last year. Any thoughts??

So I’m about to get my rebates ready to send out. I see that there are two proof of purchase tabs above the UPC. can I send 1 to J&J, 1 to KC, and the UPC to rayovac? or do the two proof of purchase tabs have to say together? Sorry if this sounds confusing but I’m a bit confused myself lol. Thanks in advance!

Reply

73 Amanda November 7, 2011 at 12:41 pm

So disappointed! I called Target, the cs girl was not very friendly. She interrupted me and said, “there is a proof of purchase….it is the UPC”. I explained the problem to her with being able to submit rebates and she said, “well, I’m sorry! There’s nothing we can do about it since you opened it!” I then pointed out that I could have gone to best buy and bought the exact same product for $5 less and her response was, “no…. You couldn’t have bc it is a target exclusive and that is why it doesn’t have the proof of purchase tabs.”
