Getting Started Couponing: Always check the ounce cost of an item

in Getting Started Couponing

When you are shopping, always make sure you check the ounce size and cost for the smaller and larger versions of a product. I was recently at Walmart and discovered that you could get 2 smaller boxes of Kid’s Crest for LESS than the larger box. That usually isn’t the case, but I was able to save myself $0.18 by being a Smart Shopper.

If you are new to Couponing, you might want to take a moment to read more in my Getting Started Couponing series. It will teach you how to coupon like I do!

So true. Baggies are a good example. I was buying some the other day at Walmart. This applies to name brand versus store brand. I found that buying the name brand baggie was cheaper AND clearly indicates it was MADE IN USA. So I saved money and kept an American employed :) … for now, anyways.
