This seems too good to be true. Toys/Babies Ru us is known around here for their terrible service toward couponers and even a coupon in general. Has anyone successfully did this?? Thanks Kristen!
There was not a single $10 box in either of the 2 stores I went to today, they don’t normally carry them, I believe they are left over from Black Friday sales. I’d say if you are going to be near a TRU or BRU it won’t hurt to go in and look, but I wouldn’t make a special trip.
It IS too good to be true…I just called my BRU and they didn’t have any of the $10 boxes of diapers in stock…that is so shady to me!! :(
I did this yesterday. I did find $10 diapers, but there were only about 5 boxes left and only size 2. But that’s just my store. The first transaction as Kristin outlined worked out perfectly.
I will say, before I spotted the $10 box of diapers, I was going to get ones that were $16.99 (b/c I couldn’t find the $10 box), and it still worked out to a fabulous deal – $0.10 a diaper. So before you get discouraged that you don’t see the $10 diapers, work out the math on the per diaper price – you might be surprised.
The coupons that were in the $10 box of diapers do not work in conjunction with the $10 promotion. When I tried to use the coupons, it negated the $10 off promo, so it ended up being more expensive!
So the short version is that the first scenario works, the second one, unfortunately, doesn’t.
I went to Babies R Us last night, and the promo sign stated that the value size box of diapers had to be of 72 count or larger. The $10 boxes only have around 42 diapers in each, so they actually didn’t qualify. You’d have to spend $26.99 for the 116 count instead. That wasn’t that great of a deal, so I didn’t get it. :o\ But this is in FL….
Valerie, it was the same in Tennessee as well. I knew it was too good to be true. Babies/Toys R us is NOT the place to get a good deal. At least from my experience. (This isn’t anyone’s fault, just a misunderstanding.)
