Have you heard of the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Spell Card Game? Many perceive the Magic Kingdom as a park more directed at smaller children. With most rides with no height requirements, it’s easy to make that assumption. Recently at Magic Kingdom, they have implemented a “Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom” Spell card game.
You can register as a volunteer sorcerer at the fire house on Main Street. You can then proceed to your first spell casting portal found on your special map you receive at registration. With your access key in hand, the portal comes to life and you use your spell cards to beat the various villains in each of the storied lands of the Magic Kingdom. This is a great activity to keep older children and the big “kids” engaged while waiting in between rides or traveling around the park.
And after you finish the game, you get the keep the Spell Cards! Be sure to play the game every chance you get to collect all of the Spell Cards.

Do they have this game available at Disneyland as well? My son loves it and has a bunch of cards from our trip to Disney World, but wondered if it is at Disneyland too.

You get 10 cards per day. There are now “Power Packs” you can purchase at the Main Street firehouse for extra spell cards. I believe the original set was 60 cards and you can now buy an additional 10 cards. There are also special videos that will appear when combine spell cards of the prince and princess together. So if you hold up Snow White and Prince Phillip together, you will get to see a special spell cast. Have fun!

We tried it out on the trial run in January. We can’t wait to see what it is like now in full swing this October!!! Do you know how many cards you get now? Per day?or per trip? We still have our original sets and we were told you can combine the “powers” to beat more villains.
