Did you know you could bring Brita water bottles to Walt Disney World to save money? Here’s what my reader Jessica had to say…
Thanks to Kristin, we all know that we can bring water bottles into the Walt Disney World parks. This significantly helps lower costs and is helpful in keeping everyone healthy, especially in the hotter months. Brita came out with their own water bottle that includes a filter. Well played, Brita, well played. The bottles cost around $10 and come with one filter, but coupons can be found. The colors are subtle and filters come in a two pack for less than $8. (Prices at my local Target.) I originally bought one because I teach and I’m pregnant, therefore drinking a lot of water. We had plenty of water fountains, but our buildings are old so I wanted to make sure I was getting clean water.
At Walt Disney World, water fountains are available throughout the park, as well as sinks. With the Brita Water bottle, you can fill up anywhere with any faucet water and be assured it is going to be clean when you drink it. I have also not had any problems loading the bottle up with ice before putting water in it and many vendors will give you a cup of ice at the park. The bottles also fit nicely into the bottle pockets on the sides of many backpacks or into the cup holders on strollers. Considering the uses after, the bottles are worth the small investment.
Don’t forget that you can also get ice water for free when you ask!

I wonder if those are available here in Canada. They look great!!
Tracey says
Yes they are available in Canada. I got mine at Walmart, and I’ve seen them in other stores as well. They work great!

I’ve used these bottles 2 years in a row now at both Disney World and Disneyland. They are much lighter than competitive brands and I like that they are see through. I too got mine in a 3-pack at my local BJs Wholesale Club and they came with filters too. A worthwhile investment. All counter service fountain machines have a water button so they can either be filled there or at a regular fountain. I always recommend these bottles in any packing tips for Disney.

It’s going to be a while before I can get to Disney so I don’t know about how it works on the water there. But here in Dallas in the summertime we get an algae that grows on the water. It’s harmless but it makes your water smell and taste fishy. Even with the filter on our fridge the water still tasted swampy. I bought one of those bottles and presto drinkable. So I think it should work pretty well at Disney World.

the water you get from the restaurants tastes better than that from the fountains. Also, you can get crystal light, kool aid, iced tea, or arnold palmer packets to mix in, or use mio.
To me saving money is great, but the truth is too much soda makes you feel sick in the heat when you riding rides. You will stay hydrated much better and feel better with water.

I got this water bottle a few months ago and it works aweome! I never have to worry about the family complaining about how the water tastes, but I will agree with an earlier post and say they can taste a litle like platic when it’s hot out.

You can also ask for a free (large) cup of ice water at any restaurant or stand at any time (you do not have to be ordering anything). We recently spent 10 days at Disney World and never spent any money on water the whole time. Everyone was gracious and happy to get our water for us!

Love this idea. The water in Disneyland/Anaheim is pretty nasty. I’m used to well water though, so that may be why I dislike it so much.

Water in WDW is not very tasty. Has anybody actually used these there. The water may be filtered, but does it taste any better?

We used these the last time and it was so convenient and quite the money saver. My hubster can finish a regular water bottle in no time as do my boys. This really saved us big time. Plus, whenever we ate there in the parks we asked our servers to fill us up with cold water right before we went back to playing. Highly recommend these for sure!!!

We plan to fill ours up with the water you can get from any counter service restaurant. It is going to save so much money! (I love your blog!!)

These are great bottles. I live in Southern California and found a 3pk of these bottles for $19.99 at Costco.

We did this on our trip in march – a definite money saver!!! We found a three pack (with extra filters) at our local wholesale club! You will want ice or keep them in a cooler, if they get warm they do take on a plastic-y taste.
