Lemons are cheap, and they smell good, so why not use them to clean your house? Lemons have a lot of different uses in the cleaning department, but my favorite way to use them is to clean my bathroom fixtures. Just cut a lemon in half, and rub it on your faucets, shower heads, etc. No need to press down or scrub. A slow, circular motion will work just fine. When you’re finished, use a clean, dry cloth to wipe off any excess. Your fixtures will be shiny and clean! It’s so simple, and the bonus is that everything smells fresh!
Notice the before (right side) and after (left side) in the picture. No harsh chemicals were needed, but it looks so much better on the after side!
You can also use the cut lemon to clean windows. Rub the cut side, in a circular motion, over your windows, wipe with a wet cloth and then a dry one. It works so much better than Windex! Lemons are also a great stain remover. Before washing, rub some lemon juice on clothing stains and then wash as normal. In my experience, it works as well as, if not better than, Shout Stain Remover!
