Guests visiting with a Dining Plan for their Disney vacation will look different for 2018, versus guests who used the dining plan in 2017. Starting January 1, 2018 the new dining plan changes took effect. Learn these 3 Major Changes For Guests Using Disney Dining Plans in 2018 versus those in 2017.
1. Cost
One difference between a 2018 dining plan versus a 2017 dining plan is it costs more this year. No cost for kids under 3 on any plan remains.
2017 Vs. 2018 Prices:
- Disney’s Quick-Service Dining Plan
was $48.19 per night ages 10 and up, now $52.49
was $20.88 per night age 3 to 9, now $21.75 - The Standard Disney Dining Plan
was $69.35 per night ages 10 and up, now $75.49
was $24.95 per night ages 3-9 yrs old, now $25.75 - The Deluxe Dining Plan
was $106.88 per night ages 10 and up, now $116.25
was $38.75 per night ages 3 to 9, now $39.99
2. Alcohol
Another big change, alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks (for those under 21) will be included for a Quick-Service or Table-Service meal entitlement (only), for all dining plans in 2018. Look for the Disney Dining logo next to beverages when ordering a meal. Examples of what is included below.
Non- Alcoholic beverages include: Artisanal Milkshakes, Coffee, Fresh Smoothies, Premium Hot Chocolate, , Soda and Tea.
Alcoholic beverages include: Beer, Cider, Mixed Drinks, Sangria, Specialty Cocktails and wine.
3. More Choices
A positive change for those using a dining plan in 2018 is, more choices. Animal Kingdom gained a new land in 2017, Pandora – World of Avatar. While, Hollywood Studios is getting its own addition in 2018 of Toy Story Land.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort (Opened 2017)
The new restaurant bar & grill fits in perfectly with the rustic theme of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. Guests enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner and a quick-service walk-up window adjacent to the bar. Kids menu is an all day option. Or enjoy an adult drink with and appetizer and water views.
Pandora – World of Avatar At Animal Kingdom (Opened 2017)
Pandora – World of Avatar is a whole new land for guests to explore in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This land brings 2 places for guests to eat and drink: Pongu Pongu & Satuli Canteen.
Toy Story Land At Hollywood Studios (Coming Summer 2018)
An all new quick service restaurant will be coming to Toy Story Land named, Woody’s Lunch Box. Like all of Toy Story Land guests will feel as though they have shrunk down to the size of a toy and Woody’s Lunch Box is no different. Woody’s Lunch Box is to be constructed by Andy out of his lunchbox and thermos. Look forward to quick-service meals and old-fashioned soda floats.
