Magic Kingdom offers 2 different Fireworks Dessert Parties year round (select nights). First package is, “Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace” where guests will enjoy an array of buffet dessert choices. Guests will then transition to seats on the Tomorrowland Terrace patio for fireworks viewing. Price is $84 (adult) and $50 (children age 3-9).
Second package is, “Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing” where guests will enjoy the same dessert buffet and then transition to a reserved area in the Plaza Garden for fireworks viewing. Price is $69 (adult) and $41 (children ages 3-9).
The difference in price is the difference between having a physical seat or standing room only. Also each location offers slightly different vantage points, learn below which one past guests prefer. Otherwise both packages enjoy the same dessert buffet prior to fireworks, with guests being seated while eating. Also note for both – Advanced Reservations are highly recommended.
4 Reasons why a Fireworks Dessert Party Is Worth It:
- Great View of the Castle – Watch the fireworks from a private, reserved area. Past guests have reported they prefer the view from the Plaza Garden Viewing area (with a more centered view) over the Tomorrowland Terrace location. If you go with the Garden view, find a seat on a grassy area to watch the fireworks from and bonus, its less expensive!
- Small Crowd Around – Since a limited number of tickets are sold, guests in the private viewing area are not shoulder to shoulder with other guests. Many find the ability to move around and not being crowded worth the price alone.
- The Desserts – Guests of either Dessert Party enjoy an all you can eat buffet of desserts and drinks (no alcohol is served). Desserts include: Chocolate-dipped strawberries, Disney character-themed desserts, Ice cream and a Create-your-own cookie. Drinks include – Sparkling cider, Hot chocolate, Signature lemonades, Coffee and Tea.
- No Long Wait – No need to show up hours early to score a prime viewing spot. The cost associated with this does actually “buy” guests more time in the park prior to the fireworks. The pressure is off when a dessert party package is purchased for VIP viewing of Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom.

Not worth it for us, hubby and I are both type 2 diabetic and our disabled son does not like sweets.

We have done the Dessert Terrace 2x. I never knew that dessert without seating was an option. We have always had seating and you basically stay at your seat for the dessert and the fireworks or you move to see better (which means your standing at a railing). Our 1st time I LOVED it. Desserts were plentiful (gluttonous) and the views were spectacular. Also, added bonus, Tinker Bell flies right over your head! The 2nd trip we had a child with a peanut allergy. We had advanced reservations and they were aware of the allergy and yet ZERO accommodations were made to have a special place prepared. Absolutely ridiculous! For $50 the LEAST they can do is provide a offering that is safe. Unless things change, we will never do the dessert terrace again.

Should say “special plate” not place

Did you complain? We did. Gave us park tickets to come back. Plus refunded our money.
