Weather wise Spring at Disney World is a gorgeous time to visit, before the heat and rainfall summer brings. However, there are some reasons not to visit Disney World in the Spring. Two of them are regarding high crowd times to avoid. What was your experience visiting Disney World in the Spring?
1. Spring Break
Expect High crowd levels starting late March and into the month of April for Spring Break. Many families choose their children’s Spring Break to visit Disney World for the gorgeous weather. Since school’s across the country schedule vacations different weeks, Spring Break crowds are continuous for about a month (late March-start of April).
2. Easter Crowds
Spring brings another high-crowd time, Easter and Easter week. It is not uncommon for Magic Kingdom to reach capacity and refuse more guests to enter on and the week of Major Holiday’s (Christmas, 4th of July, Easter, etc.). Therefore if you are braving the Easter crowds, an early start is beneficial.
3. School-Aged Children
Is a great time to visit for low crowds and lower room rates, however for guests with children in the school system, May can pose a problem. While I am for taking your children out of school to experience Disney (, be careful about Spring dates. End of year testing can occur in May, contact school to find out any major testing dates.
4. Allergies
Each year, late February through end of May, guests can enjoy Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. It is a beautiful time to visit with topiaries and extra flowers. However, for guests with allergies to flowers and such may want to avoid or pack allergy medicine.
