With hundreds of different food options, deciding what to eat can be challenging. I asked the SavEars what food they didn’t like and narrowed it down to 5 Foods To Skip In Walt Disney World:
1. Definitely turkey leg! So salty and just did not like the flavor at all. Felt like I “had” to try it since everyone’s always talking about them but never again! – Alison
2. Rice Crispie treats! We love them and we were so excited to have one at Disney – excited that is until we took our first bite – YUCK!!!!! – Becky
3. Disappointed at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. Spaghetti sauce was terrible. – Traci
4. Biscuits and gravy are watery and slimy. – Cindy
5. Chicken sandwich or the burger at the waterparks. The chicken is rubbery and the burger was like a heated up frozen patty. Not worth the money! – Kristin

on the turkey leg dry and not much flavor
Wendy Battreall says
I think the food at Disney is generally very good. Some things better than others. But at least Disney gives good selections compared to other theme parks. And for those that don’t like Disney food they allow you to bring in coolers—-so bring your own.

I visit the parks with my husband (no children yet) but we also visit with my long time employer and children ( I’m a special needs caregiver) in my opinion a turkey leg to share is a fantastic value.. given, some are better than others. They can be overly salty occasionally. I ask the cast member if they’re fresh “non judgmentally”. Just move onto the next turkey leg line if not. Not a fan of the French fries of Disney as a whole. We enjoy Caseys Corner, husband LOVES BBQ dog. Land Pavillion is undesirable. I enjoy Mediterranean food but the service in morroco is lacking. The best service you can find period is in Japan. The quick service dining is not tasty in my opinion but the scenery is wonderful. I also love Italy minus Via Napoli, over priced and the food is mediocre. Love Sci Fi Cafe.. as well as the open air ribs and BBQ next to rockin roller coaster and beauty and the beast. This is my first year in 4 having missed our home away from home.. missing it like crazy! ALWAY LOOK TO THE POSITIVE! If you let the crowds or little let downs get to you, it will ruin your experience. Accept people bumping into you.. a few undesirable meals, crowds, lines ( my motto is move onto the next thing with a reasonable wait time, I never wait longer that 25 minutes for anything) that with having the luxury of long trips primarily without children. ENJOY THE MAGIC STAY POSITIVE AND DISNEY WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! :)

I don’t care for Dole Whip. I love the Citrus Swirl though.
Shannon Nicole says
The Dole Whips are terrible.
ashley says
Tacos at San Angel, not the inside one, the one across from the Mexico pavilion on the water. The soft taco shells were stale and fell apart. There were birds begging the whole time.
Jericha says
Pizza at Pizza Planet was very disappointing.
Kristina says
I agree about the rice crispy treats! Grabbed one on our last trip, so cute! Shaped like Malificient, but I could barely eat it. Made a nice photo prop…
Renee says
Dole whip is horrible!!
Dean says
U must have had something different than the ones we’ve had
Terra Moon says
Hot dogs on main st, we thought we would grab a quick bite before parade, not worth money
Jennifer says
We tried several new places on our trip last week…some were winners, others not our favorite.
Good: The Plaza restaurant at Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace breakfast at Magic Kingdom
Sci Fi Dine in at Hollywood Studios
Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom was decent for Quick Service
Not our favorite:
Tusker House- we did breakfast. It was chaotic, rushed, the cast members were rude and v the food made us sick. Animal Kingdom
Pinocchio Village Haus- everything tasted stale and was rubbery – Magic Kingdom
San Angel Inn- Epcot- okay food, but it was a bit stale like it had been sitting for a while, server was rude.
Cosmic Ray’s- quality has gone down since the last time we were there – Magic Kingdom
Teresa says
The large peanut butter Mickey shaped cookies at one of the shops on the mainstreet of WDW. Yuck!
Sherry says
I actually liked the chicken sandwich from the water park, it was one of the few meals I liked. Cinderella’s table the pork dish was the worst – expensive and gross.
Joan says
I know everyone loves the Dole Whip. I really didn’t and I am an ice cream fanatic.
Kathleen Carscadden says
Dole Whip at Disney World is such a disappointment. Dole Whip at Disneyland, is def worth the 20 (or more) minute wait.
Kathy says
i loved the atmosphere but dinner at tuskers house was a let down. Boma of Africa was so much better.
Tabitha says
The churros at Pecos Bill. I thought they were a must do Disney food but they were nasty. Flavorless, stale dough. Maybe the ones in Epcot are better. I didn’t get a chance to try those.
Nichole Gambulos says
Mickey ice cream bars! The vanilla ice cream tasted awful.
Sam says
Maybe because we go in the summer, but every time we get one of these it melts before we can finish it, or it falls off the stick onto the ground and leaves my daughter in tears.
Alyssa Schirm says
Legend says that Cast Members can replace dropped ice cream and popped balloons for no charge! :)
Kevin says
As a former cast member, can confirm. :)
