It may surprise guests that Disney World is home to three 18-hole championship courses. These include: Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, Disney’s Magnolia and Disney’s Palm courses. Plus a 9-hole walking course at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course. In addition to traditional golf, there are family friendly golf activities at Disney World as well. 1. Disney Character Themed Refreshment Carts
Guests on a golf course at Disney World will find Disney Character themed refreshment carts! Guests will find a selection of food & beverage items including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Rehydrate with sports drinks or wake up with coffee. Also serving beer and cocktails. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are also found on the menu all day. Find a Mickey cart at Lake Buena Vista. Look for a Mickey, Minnie and Goofy cart at Disney’s Magnolia, Palm and Oak Trail courses.
2. Mickey Shaped Bunkers
Even getting a ball in the Bunker is magical at Disney World, with select Mickey Shaped Bunkers on course. Find Mickey Shaped sand bunkers at No. 6 Magnolia course, No. 9 at Lake Buena Vista course and No. 9 at Oak Trail course. These are proudly maintained.
3. Play 9 Holes Early Or Late
For early risers or night owls, golf at Disney during select times and save. Golfers can take advantage of Sunrise 9 and play 9 holes between 7am-8:30am or Sunset 9 and play 9 holes select times before sunset. This is a great way to get 9-holes in before hitting the parks or after!
4. Try FootGolf For Family Fun
Not a traditional golfer? Disney World has something unique at Disney’s Magnolia course, named FootGolf. Combine soccer and golf by kicking a ball instead of hitting one! This game is offered by Arnold Palmer Golf Management. FootGolf offers guests a 9-Hole course, certified by the American FootGolf League, with par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s. Allow for approximately 90 minutes to complete the course. This is fun for the whole family and guests staying at a Disney World resort get a discounted price.
5. Enjoy Mini-Golf At Disney World
Mini-Golf is something the whole family can enjoy together. Find Fantasia Gardens & Fairways Miniature Golf at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf at Disney’s Blizzard Beach. They both offer 2 18-hole adventures to choose from. The Winter Summerland Miniature Golf offers one Summer course and one Winter themed course. The Fantasia Gardens & Fairways Miniature golf has one traditional course themed after Disney’s Fantasia. The second course is a miniature scale of a traditional golf course with bunkers and sand traps!
