If you are springing for the high admission prices on your trip, here are 5 things you can do at Walt Disney World that don’t require a ticket:
1. View the fireworks – You don’t have to have a ticket to get a great view of the Fireworks. Here are a few of my favorite ticketless spots:
- Viewing deck at The Contemporary (on the 4th floor)
- Beachside at the Polynesian Village Resort
- At the Ticket and Transportation Center near the Ferry boarding area
2. Visit Art of Animation Resort – If you love Cars, The Lion King, Finding Nemo and/or The Little Mermaid, you are going to love this resort. You can take pictures of your family with giant icons from the movie, browse the details in the lobby or even take a class from a Disney artist.
3. Ride the monorail to Epcot and back – You don’t need a ticket to ride the Monorail and the Epcot line goes through the park.
4. Learn at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – This resort is true to its African roots. You can view animals on the savanna, browse African artifacts inside and even talk to Cast Members who are here on a work visa from African nations.
5. Visit Disney’s Boardwalk – In the evening the Boardwalk comes to life with street performers, entertainment venues and lots of eateries. You can even view some of Illuminations as you chow on pizza, hotdogs or funnel cakes.
