Here are 5 tips for visiting Disney sans kids!
What Walt Disney World Resort do you recommend for an adult only trip?
Traveling as adults only may afford you the option to enjoy a Deluxe Resort. If that is the case, then Disney’s Beach Club or Disney’s Boardwalk Inn would be my top picks. Both of these resorts are located in the Boardwalk area, and are within walking distance from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. In the moderate category, I would suggest Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter. These resorts are so quaint, and small in comparison to some of the other moderates. Plus, the boat to Downtown Disney will give you plenty of night life options. For the Value Resorts, Pop Century is the way to go for adults. Choosing a room from your decade will add to the magic of your Disney trip!
What activities, outside of the Disney attractions, would you recommend for two adults?
Disney offers several awesome behind the scene tours that are perfect for adults! I would recommend the Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Another great tour is the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park. Both of these will give you an unforgettable experience, and some special behind the scenes views of the Walt Disney World Parks.
What dining locations are recommended for adults?
Enjoying a character meal as adults only is perfectly fine-after all, it’s Disney! But, if you want a more “adult” dining experience, there are some great options for you! California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is my number one pick for adult only dining. The menu is fabulous-and if you time it right, you can watch Wishes from the California Grille! Citricos or Narcoosee’s at the Grand Floridian Resort and Day Spa are two more magical options for your adult dining as well. And don’t forget World Showcase-traveling to Disney as adults is the perfect time to drink your way around the World Showcase!
How can we use our time outside the parks?
The Boardwalk is perfect for an adult evening out at Walt Disney World. The shopping is wonderful, as is the entertainment to be had. The Boardwalk boasts street performers, surrey rides, and Jellyrolls-the dueling piano bar. Also, there are carriage rides at various resorts, as well as miniature golf at WinterSummerland and Fantasia Miniature Golf Courses.
What relaxation activities would you recommend for our adult only trip?
Relaxation means many different things to different people. At the Disney Parks, you can relax with spa treatment or massage, a fishing excursion, or a fireworks cruise in the evening. You can also add tickets to Cirque du Soleil La Nouba at Disney Springs, or enjoy fishing excursion!
