Here are 5 tips for photos at Walt Disney World:
What is Memory Maker, and why is it good for my Walt Disney World Vacation?
Memory Maker allows you the photos taken via PhotoPass photographers in all the Disney parks, select attractions, and select dining locations. You can preorder Memory Maker at a reduced rate, 4 days or more prior to your arrival. Simply present your MagicBand or Memory Maker Card to any Photopass photographer at the parks, select resorts, and dining locations. It can be added directly to your Walt Disney World Magic Your Way Package. Upon arriving at home, you can view and order your photos, even create photo gifts! Memory Maker is a MUST if you are planning on purchasing your attraction photos, if you have some great table service reservations at the selected locations, and if you wan to create some wonderful memories of your trip!
My son is turning 1 while we are visiting Walt Disney World. How can I preserve these memories?
There are many options for preserving those special First Birthday memories! I would suggest making him an appointment at the Harmony Barbershop for his “first haircut”, and all the special treatment that comes along with it. Take A LOT of photos of your trip, especially when the characters are interacting with him! Those will become your favorite ones! Be sure to get a birthday button for him upon check in, and make sure he’s wearing it as much as possible. I would also suggest making a reservation for The Crystal Palace, and ordering a small smash cake directly from Disney. What a great birthday party! And be sure to get him a set of MouseEars!
The Disney Parks are SO beautiful! Where are the “must take” photo spots?
My favorite family photos take place in the same spots every trip! I love looking back at how our children have grown, and pose them in the same spots. The park icons, Cinderella’s Castle, the Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, and The Great Movie Ride are great spots! We also love to take pictures in the stocks in Liberty Square or with Zurg in the gift shop at the end of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
What are some souvenirs we can get to remember our special trip?
Dated souvenirs, such as photo frames, Christmas ornaments, figurines are all great ways to remember your trip. Trading pins, magnets, and even jewelry are excellent souvenirs as well. Take the the great photos you’ve taken yourself, or have from PhotoPass+, and add them to a mouse pad, mug, or canvas upon returning home!
We are a family of 12 traveling for our family reunion. What special event would you suggest we enjoy as a large group?
The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party is an excellent choice for a large group to enjoy together. Also, the Pirates and Pals Cruise around Bay Lake would be great fun for all! How about a surrey ride around the Boardwalk area? Another great option is to contact Disney Fine Art Photography & Video. They will meet you at select resorts, and will photograph your family!
