Part of a magical vacation for many guests are meeting characters and collecting autographs. While many bring a traditional autograph book, some guests choose to get creative and bring a hat or Vinylmation Figurine to sign. It is good to know the absolute no-no’s for Character Autographs.
7 Items Characters Refuse to Sign:
- Anything you are wearing. Pack an extra shirt if you want it signed.
- A body cast. Unfortunately a cast falls under something on your body and is not allowed either
- Legal documents or anything that resembles a legal document. You can’t marry Flynn no matter how badly you want to!
- Money. No defacement of paper money allowed.
- Skin. Anywhere on your body, not allowed.
- Tickets. It has been reported Characters will not sign Park tickets.
- Anything offensive. Characters may refuse to sign anything offensive.
The list is short and leaves plenty of creative ways open for guests to collects autographs on their trip to Disney Parks.

The best souvenir I got from our trip was a collection of autographs. We took precut quilt squares and an embroidery hoop (to hold the square tight) along with a package of fabric markers. While we were in line for the characters, we put a new square in the hoop and chose a color for the autograph. We even got the cast members from the countries at Epcot to write our names in their language (Arabic looks really cool, and so does Chinese). When we got home, my sister in law got some fun Disney fabric and made a large quilt for me and smaller ones for my 2 girls. Best souvenirs ever, and nobody else has anything like it!

Both Donald and Mickey signed my son’s cast when we were there in April.
