Halloween time at Disneyland Resort brings extra fun to the parks. From seeing decorations and more, here are 7 spooky additions to Disneyland Resort during Halloween.
1. Soak In The Decorations
Mickey shaped pumpkins line the street of Main St USA in Disneyland Park during the season. In fact, there are hundreds of pumpkins and jack o’ lanterns put out each year. Additionally, orange colored banners and wreaths add to the Pumpkin Festival.
2. Haunted Mansion Holiday
Visit Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park for a holiday layover. During Halloween season, the Haunted Mansion transforms into Haunted Mansion Holiday. This is inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Guests will find jack o’ lanterns, wreaths and more spooky additions.
3. Meet Costumed Characters
During Halloween season guests will enjoy meet & greets with Characters in their Halloween attire. Such as, Mickey & Minnie in their purple hues. In addition, Jack Skellington and Sally are found outside the Haunted Mansion for meet & greets.
4. Halloween Treats
Snacks are one of the most delicious parts of a Disney vacation. During Halloween, spooky treats pop up throughout the parks. Past years have brought the Main Street Mickey’s Pound Cake (in festive orange), a Mummy Donut and the Orange Sugar Churro. Additionally, look for the Halloween themed popcorn bucket. This is not only a great snack, it is a nice keepsake.
5. Festive Merchandise
Disney is no stranger to souvenirs and Halloween brings limited time merchandise to the parks. Find ears, plush, apparel, household goods, pins and much more adorned with Halloween theming each year.
6. Mickey’s Halloween Party
Each September and October, Mickey’s Halloween Party is held on select nights. This is a separate ticketed event. Guests will enjoy trick or treating, special character meet & greets, a Halloween parade and more. End your evening with a Halloween themed fireworks spectacular.
7. Disney’s Happiest Haunts Tour
For guests looking for extra immersion, consider Disney’s Happiest Haunts Tour. This 2.5 hour walking tour is filled with tricks (and treats), ghost stories and a special encounter from a Haunted Mansion favorite. Cost is $85 (+ tax) for guests aged 3+, separate Disneyland Park admission required.
