Can a Disney World vacation be relaxing? Absolutely, with these 7 tips. Enjoy Disney World without feeling like you ran a marathon.
1. Skip Park Hopper
Park Hopper is a great option to add, if you plan to stay on the go, allowing guests to enter multiple parks per day. Otherwise, skip this option as one Disney park per day has plenty to explore. Many guests feel less pressure going without park hopper, as when you pay for it you feel like you have to use it. Skip this option and save.
2. Mid-Day Break
Taking a Mid-Day Break is important to rest and recharge. A Mid-Day break is especially important if you do not plan on taking any days off from the parks. Head back to the resort for a nap, or swim and avoid the hot afternoon hours (especially during the summer).
3. Disney Springs
Disney Springs is a large outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment area. This is a wonderful place for a relaxing daytime or evening stroll. Browse the stores and have your pick from many different dining options.
4. Do Not Over plan
If a relaxing vacation is your goal, do not cram your schedule. Pick a reasonable time frame to accomplish your must-do attractions, utilizing your 3 advance Fastpass+ reservations. Leaving your schedule open allows time to explore or rest at your discretion.
5. Less Park Days
This will save you money as well, add less tickets to your vacation and skip the parks every other day. Take the time to relax by your Disney Resort pool or park hop. Plus, the advantage of sleeping in.
Park hopping is a great non-park day activity, bonus if you browse the deluxe resorts on the Monorail Loop, it includes riding the monorail. Take your time and explore the resorts, which do not have the same hustle and bustle as the parks. Also enjoy select amenities such as surrey bike rentals, spas, fishing, character dining and more through out various Disney World Resorts. End your Disney vacation on a relaxing note by ending with a day at the pool.
6. Water Park
If relaxing by water sounds like your kind of vacation, with Disney touches, than a water park could be for you (seasonal). Disney World has 2 water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. They both have amazing Lazy Rivers, perfect for a relaxing Disney vacation.
7. Dining Plan
Disney World offers 3 levels of Dining Plans. Each allow guests to pre-pay for their foods, in turn getting meal and snack credits to redeem during your vacation. Take the stress out of paying for food, a major expense of a Disney vacation, by purchasing the dining plan ahead of time.
