3. Know the Weather
Know the weather during your month of visit to Disney World. This will give you an idea of average temperature and rainfall by month. Packing a bathing suit is always a good idea, just in case, as pools at Disney Resorts are heated. Also, raingear such as ponchos or an umbrella. Depending on the time of year, a sweatshirt may be needed, especially in the evening.
4. Packing For Your Park Bag
Guests will want to keep their park bags as light as possible. Items to always keep in your park bag include: sunscreen, sunglasses, ponchos, ID for adults, phone, first aid kit and more. Ziploc bags are also useful for your park bag, to keep electronics dry on select rides and for leftover snacks for little ones. Here are more items to pack in your park bag.
5. Lost Luggage & TSA Rules
One of the unfortunate mishaps of flying to Disney is the small chance of lost luggage. Consider not packing one suitcase per one person and instead, spread out belongings throughout different suitcases. This way if one is lost, one person doesn’t loose everything. Also consider taking a carry-on suitcase with a change of clothes and bathing suit. Also for those flying, know the TSA rules & more.
6. Pack Favorite Snacks
Packing snacks from home can save money and time during a vacation. Especially with little ones who often want a quick snack. Here are 10 favorite snacks to pack, all of which travel well. Avoid any granola bars or snacks with chocolate due to risk of melting! You could also consider having Groceries Delivered To Your Disney Resort.
7. Pack Dollar Tree Items
Prior to a vacation to Disney, I always head to the Dollar Tree. They have useful items for a Disney vacation at just $1 each, including Tinkerbell gifts. Consider travel necessities such as toothpaste & toothbrushes and fun items such as glowsticks!
8. Know What NOT To Pack
Save room in your suitcase by knowing what not to pack. In Disney Resort rooms guests are provided with a hair dryer, soap, Shampoo & Conditioner, and leave the power strip at home since updated rooms now have extra outlets & USB outlets. At Disney Resort pools, find complimentary life vests for children in varying sizes and towels for guests.
