Guests return to Disney World year after year for their choice of vacation, because of Disney magic. Leaving Disney is the worst part of a Disney vacation. Here are 8 Things Guests Miss When They Leave Disney World. What do you miss the most?
The Sights
Waking up to see the view outside your Resort room, seeing Cinderella’s Castle on Main St USA, the over the top theming and décor are just some of the sights guests miss the most. Each Disney World Resort has its own theming to take in. Such as the larger than life props at Disney Value Resorts, an example being the 3-story high big wheel! Newer sights to take in include exploring Andy’s backyard in Toy Story Land which opened in 2018 at Hollywood Studios. Plus, all the lights in the evening, Toy Story Land & Pandora – World of Avatar have amazing sights to see when night falls. All these amazing sights can be captured by photograph, until next time.
The Sounds
Take a walk around a Disney Resort or Disney Park and you may find yourself singing along to a Disney song. There seems to always be music playing while at Disney, from attractions, shows, at Disney Resort pool’s and more. Something about having happy music always in the background puts people in a good mood. Disney knows how to set the mood with music.
Transportation
Guests staying at Disney World Resorts are privy to complimentary, continuous transportation to Disney Parks and more. For those flying, take the Magical Express to and from the airport, making a car unnecessary on a Disney World vacation. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your ride to your next destination, courtesy of Disney. All Resorts contain bus transportation and select resorts offer transportation by boat, monorail, or even walking disntance. Not dealing with traffic or having to drive during your stay is a perk guests miss when they leave.
Shopping
There is no shortage of shopping at Disney World. In fact, most attractions lead guests through a gift shop to exit. Besides the parks, guests can shop at Disney Springs and Disney Boardwalk. Even if you do not buy many souvenirs, the thrill of finding the perfect item to buy makes it fun to browse. Being able to step into a shop and browse merchandise is a fun part of a Disney vacation. They do not make it easy to not buy everything!
The Smells
Disney knows how to pull at our senses with the sights, sounds and now smells. Walk up Main St USA in Magic Kingdom and smell freshly baked sugar cookies. Pirates of the Caribbean (Magic Kingdom) and Soarin’ (Epcot) are also known for their unmistakable smells. At all parks, popcorn fills the air in select locations. Disney Resort lobbies also have wonderful scents. All of these wonderful smells are left behind when guests return home.
Daily Decisions
While daily decisions in life can be cumbersome, your daily choices at Disney are magical. Such as, deciding between a Mickey Pretzel or Mickey Premium Bar, when to visit the pool that day and so on. Guests miss having to decide which restaurant to try, which attraction to ride next and more. Decisions at Disney are the best!
Themed Restaurants
As a mom, a vacation to me also means a set amount of days not having to cook meals daily! This is a perk I miss when leaving. In addition, Disney World makes mealtimes fun with extra magic and extensively themed restaurants. Consider 50’s Prime Time Café at Hollywood Studios (themed after moms kitchen of the 1950’s), Rainforest Café at Animal Kingdom or Disney Springs (themed after a rainforest) and more!
Being Home
This one may seem ironic, however when Disney fans return home, they miss home at the same time. Many Disney fanatics refer to Disney as “home”. Walking down Main St USA, and the familair sights and sounds of Disney are as comforting as home.
