I thought I would share a picture of myself from March 2006 (one year before I had Jacob). I weighed 261 the day I delivered Emily and a little less than 2 years later, I weighed 196. Then I got pregnant with Jacob and gained it all back. But I did set the above picture as my wallpaper on my work computer so I could stay motivated.
This week’s post is late. I have had a very rough week. On Monday, January 16th, my work computer broke. I finally got it repaired and back up and running on Wednesday, January 25th. In the mean time, I had to blog on my slow laptop that doesn’t even have a battery. It was stressful. But because of that event, I discovered something about myself that I did not know.
I am not an emotional eater like I once thought. I thought that when I got upset, like crying my eyes out upset, I would eat. But I realized that I don’t. I actually get stressed out and let things get to me and then I start eating to work thru the stress. So I think the key to losing the weight once and for all is going to be to find a cure to my stress. To not let the little things get me worked up. If you have tips on how you avoid stress and/or how you work thru stress, I would love to hear them.
Because of the stress, I cheated on my diet. Now I didn’t cheat terribly, but I cheated and I need to stop that. I get so frustrated with myself, but I think now that I have this stress trigger figured out, I can work thru it.
I finally broke down and looked at the scale. I have lost a total of 12 pounds in 3 weeks. My biggest hurdle is going to be getting below 230 pounds. I currently weigh 236 and I haven’t seen less than 230 since 2006. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I am going to go after that number with a vengeance this week.
How are you doing with your weight loss efforts? It doesn’t matter if you are doing Medifast or not, I would love to hear from you!

Medifast is not cheap. I know that. But being overweight isn’t cheap either. I spent a lot of time debating on if this was something that I wanted to share on my blog. But it all comes down to the fact that I want to get rid of this weight so that I can truly enjoy Disney. And if it is by the support of my amazing readers that I do it once and for all, then I need that. I am not encouraging you to try Medifast. I am not saying that Medifast is the only or the best way to lose weight. I am just looking for support from my wonderful friends. If you don’t want to support me, please don’t comment.
